Queensville Holland Landing United Church

Queensville Holland Landing United Church Our services start every Sunday morning at 10:30am (except July - we're on holiday!)
Pul up a pew and let us get to know you!

We are part of the United Church of Canada, which was founded on June 10th, 1925. At that time, four individual religions came together to become one church. As a result, we have proud roots in the Methodist Church, the Congregational Union, the western-based General Council of Local Churches and the Presbyterian Church in Canada. The inauguration of this new church was held at the Mutual Street A

rena in Toronto, Ontario. On November 2, 2010 the congregations of Holland Landing United Church and Queensville United Church came together and became the place you’re checking out today! We have all been blessed by this union and continue to move ahead together.

Easter Week Services
QHL is not holding a Good Friday service this year, but will instead join our friends at other churches.
Easter Sunday, however, the party is on! Ladies, we encourage you to wear an Easter bonnet and everyone is welcome to join us at our early morning coffee time on Sunday, April 5th. At 9am, we'll be serving coffee, hot cross buns and lots of smiles on this amazing day. Regular worship begins at 10:30am with Lesley Morris. After church, we'll be off to see our families, so our regular time of post-service fellowship is on hold for a week.
From all of us at QHL, we wish you a meaningful Good Friday and a joyous Easter.! "He is not here. but has risen". (Luke 24: 5)

Hi Everyone,
It was pointed out to me (I’m the secretary here at QHL) that Facebook is not a place for religious musing, but simply a megaphone for our activities. I’ll buy that, but as the world continues to turn in unexpected directions, and a New Year happening this week, I hope you’ll indulge me for a just a moment.

Between the news and social media and gossip over coffee, it seems that one simple message is being drowned out. God loves you. That’s it. God loves you. I spoke with someone recently who needed to hear those words and it seems to me we could all use someone to tell us that now and then. As we move from one year into another, I hope you’ll take that simple truth with you. No, it won’t solve all your problems or shovel your driveway or help you to lose weight. What I hope it will do is give you courage for the days, weeks and months ahead in 2026, a time that continues to be uncertain no matter where in the world you are.
God loves you. Yes, you.
Happy New Year from all of us at QHL.

Christmas Services 2025
Each week, we are enjoying Advent services with different perspectives from our guest speakers, so come, all ye faithful!

We are not having a Blue Christmas service this year.

On Christmas Eve, we'll be joining Mount Albert United Church (41 Alice Street), 6:30pm so QHL will be closed on December 24th. Rev. Cunningham will preside over a lovely service at Mount Albert which will include their choir and wonderful Handbell Ensemble. We hope to see you there!

To all our QHL friends and family, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and God's blessing in the New Year.

Thanksgiving is this weekend! Please join us on Sunday at 10:30am as we welcome Pastor David Blow and all of you to our service.
It's an old saying that we that we should be thankful every day, but especially now, it's true more than ever. So why not put that gratitude into action? Drop a can or two off at the grocery store's food bank box. Let someone in when traffic is bad. Say hello to a neighbour raking leaves or better yet, help them out. There are many ways to not only be thankful, but to give someone else a reason to be thankful, too. This week, be that reason.
Happy Thanksgiving!
