Yujung ministers among a people group in Asia Pacific. Pray for her as she learns the culture and language. Pray that she would better understand the people’s worldview — a crucial part of understanding the culture and, when the time comes, translating Scripture. Pray that God would provide language helpers who can help Yujung record long stories in their heart language, “a critical way to learn the language.” Pray that the people would see the importance of Bible translation and be willing to help Yujung. Pray for co-workers for Yujung.

Andrew and Rachel Trott minister among the Maliyali people of Papua New Guinea. Over the past year — even as the missionary families had to come and go and the church was briefly alone — Maliyali Bible teachers faithfully taught through the Creation to Christ lessons with the community, reminding them of what they had already heard back in 2022. For those who did not believe when they heard the Good News in 2022, it was another chance to hear and accept the gospel. The Lord taught the nervous Bible teachers that “it is not the one proclaiming the message, but the Lord by His Spirit alone who is able to draw and change hearts as His Word is proclaimed clearly.” And praise God, He did change hearts! There are ten new believers in Maliyali.

Barry and Denise Spor, serving itinerantly, minister to the Guanano people of Colombia and Brazil. Three Guanano Bible teachers and their wives returned to village “PG” to disciple four new believers — Roberto and Blanca and Miguel and Inez — through the books of Acts and Romans. However, because the community was busy preparing for a major event, Roberto did not attend the teaching, and the other three believers only attended one session. “Praise God that rather than the week being wasted, Jesus led the teaching team to use the interruption to give concentrated time discipling and helping Miguel and Inez begin understanding what it means to live free from the control of the sin nature as new believers in Jesus.” Pray for both couples as they will face temptation and pressure from their community to participate in sinful practices. Pray also for the Bible teachers and their wives as they plan new dates to return and continue the discipleship and teaching.

Joel and Andi serve in West Africa, assisting the local church in equipping missionaries. In April, they held a language-learning workshop for more-experienced African missionaries wishing to minister to Africans from other language groups. There were many details to be worked out and obstacles to be overcome during the two weeks, and “God came through in mighty ways!” Praise God that the missionaries left the workshop “eager to get back and start working.” During this time, Joel and Andi were made aware of two more requests for language training. “[L]anguage learning is a felt need by many African missionaries. We are excited about continuing to help with the need. We are asking the Lord for wisdom as we consider these different requests and what it will look like to provide the help needed.”

Bruce and Jan Johnson currently live in the USA and serve in radio ministry to reach the Chimane, Yuracare, Trinitario and Ayoré language groups of Bolivia. Praise God that the team has delivered over 300 solar radios and many microchips containing Scripture, Bible lessons and worship music to isolated people in Bolivia. “These solar radios are delivered by several methods — truck, canoe and even wheelbarrow. Our goal this fall is to deliver another 80 radios.” Pray that God will supply the funds to make this possible. Pray for Bruce and Jan as they shop for affordable microchips and radios. Pray that those who have already received radios and microchips would let God’s Word transform their lives.

Christian and Elizabeth serve in Central Africa. They had planned to make some PGA (people group assessment) trips, but in light of current events which have led to fuel shortages, the trips were postponed. “Please pray for the fuel issue to resolve in God’s timing. Please also keep praying for the right contacts in each people group that can help introduce us to the various village leaders and government officials as needed.” As they wait to begin work among an unreached people group one day, Christian and Elizabeth are leading Bible studies in their local church. Many church-goers in this city do not understand the true gospel, so pray that Christian and Elizabeth would be able to share the Good News clearly with their friends and that they would have opportunities to disciple believers.

Pray for the team from Ethnos360 Germany as they mobilize more people to join the work as missionaries. They have had the opportunity to visit missions conferences, including one of the biggest in Europe, to share about who Ethnos360 Germany is and how attendees can be involved in missions. Then they invite them to a conference by Ethnos360 Germany. These conferences have had a good turnout, and the attendees — people already desiring to be involved in sharing the gospel with unreached people — have been given some practical next steps towards involvement. Praise God for more labourers to share His Word. Praise God that local churches are partnering with Ethnos360 Germany to learn how to care for their missionaries well.

Colombia: Pray for Nukak Literacy Outreach

Colin and Megan Rogers minister among the Nukak people of Colombia. “Please praise the Lord with us for the opportunities we've had so far this year to share our lives with the Nukak. Please pray for the literacy program, especially that the students [would] be faithful to come. Please also pray that they will follow our suggestions to them to show their siblings and relatives how to read as well. Pray that the desire of the Nukak to read their own language will grow. Please pray that we will find favour in the eyes of the administrative agents who receive the literacy materials and that they will act in the genuine interest of the Nukak people.”
