From pieces like the ones in the first picture to the hanging rack in the second picture. It’s taken a while and that’s just the first one with four to go. I’m enjoying some of these finishing touches in the guest rooms.

Martin has been away so I decided to play! I was already fixing up the stairs so I went nuts and did most of the stairwell. It has been a sore spot for me. Here are some before and after pics. The window trim isn’t finished and there is still a pipe to hide along with a bunch of little things to finish it off but there is definitely progress. And then there is the corner that I can’t reach without someone holding the bottom of the ladder!

It’s taken a couple days and one trip to buy a little tool but here’s my first attempt at framing. And then of course drywall. It is so far from being done and there are definitely things to fix but it’s still progress. I’m excited. More work tomorrow, and maybe another trip to the hardware store…😁

I love the colours that come out in this floor! It’s not really done as there are a lot of learning curve things to fix but I needed to put that room back together for now. So the fixes will happen at a later date. It’s awesome to have access to this room and the cross breeze.
