MEN’S CONFERENCE 2026 | THE GLORY OF GOD

Registration is officially open for our fourth annual Men’s Conference at Fellowship Baptist Church!

We live in a world that constantly calls us to fix our attention on ourselves, our accomplishments, our comfort, and our desires. Scripture calls us to something infinitely greater: to know God, behold His glory, and live all of life for Him.

This year, we will spend the day opening God’s Word together and considering what it means to live for God's glory in our homes, churches, workplaces, suffering, and everyday lives.

Things are ramping up for Fall, and many exciting ministries are set to launch! But to make it all work, we need your help!

Here are some of the ways you can serve:

USHERS - FBC is in need of ushers to ensure we can accommodate our increasing attendance. Training will be provided.

BIBLE QUIZZING - There are many roles open in this ministry. One of our chief needs is simply for verse listeners. This would involve coming to practice and listening to our Quizzers quote their verses, making sure they’re correct, and signing off once they get it. If you're really keen, we could also use one or more coaches! Training will be provided.

KIDS MINISTRY - Whether you want to be in the thick of it as a teacher or help upstairs with check-in, there are spots to fill!

There are other ways to serve too, but these are some key needs at present!

This Sunday we’ll be in Job 28, asking a question every generation has to answer: Where is wisdom found?

Job 28 takes us beneath the surface of human knowledge and achievement and shows us that true wisdom cannot be mined, purchased, or discovered by human effort alone.

God alone knows the way to wisdom.

And then the chapter brings it home in one clear statement:

“The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.”
Job 28:28

Join us this Sunday at Fellowship Baptist Church as we open God’s Word together and consider what it means to live wisely in a world full of information, opinions, and confusion.

Thank you, Saulo, for delivering such a faithful, Christ-centered sermon from Psalm 90 this morning. And thank you to Ron and Gwen for leading us so beautifully in hymns.

What a blessing to gather as Christ’s church, hear His Word proclaimed, and sing His praises together.

Men, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 21.

This year’s Men’s Conference will focus on one great theme:

THE GLORY OF GOD

Together we’ll consider:

• What is the glory of God?
• The glory of God in suffering
• Living for the glory of God

Our hope is simple, that we would see more clearly who God is, stand in awe of His glory, and learn what it means to live every part of our lives for Him.

This fall, we’re beginning a new sermon series through the book of Micah.

Micah is a book of both warning and hope. It confronts the seriousness of sin and the certainty of God’s judgment, but it also points us to a God who is faithful, merciful, and ready to forgive.

Again and again, Micah moves us from darkness to hope, ultimately pointing us to the promised King and the mercy of God.

MICAH: After Darkness, Light

Join us beginning Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 AM as we walk through this timely Old Testament book together.

Join us for our annual Church in the Park on Sunday, June 21, at 10:00 AM at Partici Park.

This is always a special Sunday for our church family and community. We would love for you, your family, friends, and neighbours to come and be part of it. Whether you attend church regularly, haven’t been in years, or are simply curious, you are welcome here.

After the service, we’ll be having a BBQ together, along with fun activities and games for the kids. It’s a relaxed morning outdoors where we can worship together, enjoy fellowship, and spend time as a community.

A few things to bring:
• A lawn chair or blanket to sit on
• Bottles of water to stay hydrated
• Dress for the weather
