Introduction
Evangelism is done many ways in scripture, sometimes we scatter broadcast (parable of the sower), sometimes its a long relationship that bears fruit (parable of the seed growing), sometimes we plant and others water, sometimes done through "power evangelism". None of these are 'better' than others, but God seems to avoid tying us to a single "methodology". Our text this morning looks at more "particular" leadings by God.
1) The Father's Plan
God sends his messenger angel to direct Philip to the road. No explanation given for why he is to go. But God's timing is perfect, a moment sooner or later, and Philip would have missed the Ethiopian. God had a plan for this particular person at this particular time in this particular way to receive the Gospel. Philip responded in faithful trust in God's purposes, even though he didn't understand *why* God was leading him the way that he did.
