St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dresden

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dresden At St. But first things first. Before we can prep and do the work, we have to first be right with God. The word for all that is justification.

Our purpose is “to prepare all people for the work of Christian service in order to build up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12) and to reach out “to do what is just, to show constant love, and live in humble fellowship with our God (Micah 6:8). Andrew’s, our statement of purpose is “to prepare all people for the work of Christian service in order to build up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12)

and to reach out into the community “to do what is just, to show constant love, and live in humble fellowship with our God” (Micah 6:8). That means simply believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully divine and at the same time, fully human — and that he came to teach us the way to live, that he is the truth and that true life comes when you live for him, with the help of his Holy Spirit. And then life in Christ is about submitting to God’s will, growing closer to him. It probably means changing your lifestyle as we submit to him and less to our selfish ways. It means trusting in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for everything. The word for all that is sanctification — a slow process of growing more Christlike. Only then can we embark on the work God has planned for us.

Approximately 50 Grade 7-8 students from Dresden Area Central School were treated with an Underground pre-event pizza lunch on Wednesday on the front lawn of Bob & Rita Vriesema, right across from the school parking lot. Kudos to Peyton Doom and friends for extending the invitation to their classmates. May this hospitality open the doors to the Kingdom and for young people to enter.

An Easter message.

The sharp increase in the price of groceries is depressing – $25 for a can of coffee that used to be $9.99? It gives dark roast a new meaning. We live in extraordinary times – and it’s more than just inflation. The Church remains alive precisely for such a time as this.

The Underground is excited to present “Anchored,” May 29–31, 2026, on the beautiful shores of St. Luke’s Bay in Grande Pointe, Ontario.

Over the course of this powerful two-night, three-day retreat, students ages 13–18 will step into an unforgettable experience filled with dynamic teaching, meaningful friendships, and high-energy fun. In a world that is constantly shifting and changing, students will discover how to remain grounded and secure in their faith.

Throughout the weekend, students will connect with strong student leaders, build lasting friendships with peers from across the region, and take part in activities designed to create memories they won’t soon forget, all in a safe, encouraging environment where faith and fun go hand in hand.

If you have a student between the ages of 13 and 18 in your household, this is an incredible opportunity to help them grow, connect, and be inspired.

Registration opens April 1 at 2:00 PM and space is limited.
