Psalm 24 reminds us who’s really in charge.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it…” (Psalm 24:1) — not just the “church stuff,” but all of it: our work, our homes, our worries, our plans, our money, our families, our future.
And then the Psalm gets personal:
“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?” (v.3)
Not “who’s impressive,” or “who’s got it together,” but the one God makes clean and true (v.4). If we’re honest, none of us can stand there on our own. That’s why this Psalm also points us to a King we need:
“Lift up your heads, O you gates… that the King of glory may come in.” (v.7)
Jesus is that King of Glory — strong to save, mighty to deliver, gentle with sinners, and worthy of every part of our lives. So today, don’t just give Him a corner. Open the gates. Open the heart. Let Him reign where you’ve been trying to hold it all together yourself.
Prayer: Lord, everything I have is Yours. Make my heart clean, make my faith real, and take Your rightful place as King in my life. Amen.
If you need a fresh start, Psalm 24 is a good place to begin. ❤️👑
