Scripture
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
Reflection
The world offers many promises of rest, yet so often leaves hearts weary and burdened. Jesus extends a different invitation—one grounded not in our performance, but in His grace. He calls sinners, strugglers, and weary saints to come to Him.
The rest Christ gives is far deeper than physical relaxation. It is the rest of knowing our sins are forgiven through His finished work on the cross. It is the peace of being reconciled to God and adopted into His family. It is the confidence that our Savior reigns over all things and will never forsake His people.
Whatever burdens you carry today, bring them to Christ. His strength is sufficient, His mercy is abundant, and His promises are sure.
Prayer
Merciful Savior, thank You for inviting weary sinners to come to You. Teach us to rest in Your grace rather than our own efforts. Strengthen our faith, comfort our hearts, and help us walk in the peace that You alone can give. Amen.
Reflection Question
What burden do you need to place into Christ’s hands today instead of carrying it on your own?
