⚠️SITUATION CRITICAL⚠️

Essentials for our Community is facing a critical shortage in funding, sponsorship, and volunteers.
If you have a heart for helping seniors, families and struggling individuals in the community of Didsbury, PLEASE consider helping us.
We have a number of needs to be filled:
🔆 FUNDING. We are in crisis mode in regards to our program funding and are having to claw back a lot of our regular offerings. We are looking for families, businesses and organizations that are willing to supply donations to EFOC or sponsor a Thursday night meal.
🔆 FOOD RESOURCES. Many individuals in our program rely on extra groceries that we provide on our garden market/ free items table every week. We are needing donations of non-perishable dry goods, as well as fresh produce provided from your garden that we can offer to our members or use in our Thursday night Konnection Kitchen meals.
🔆VOLUNTEERS. If you love to cook, bake, or otherwise serve, we could always use extra helping hands on Thursdays between 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.. Shift hours are extremely flexible and you can choose how many Thursdays a month you are available to help!
🔆BOARD MEMBERS. If you have vision and leadership to help make our community a better place through this program, please consider joining our volunteer board.

We are resuming our regular hours for the Konnection Kitchen this Thursday September 3rd! See you at 5:30!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to volunteer holidays, we will be CLOSED for our Konnection Kitchen meal service on August 20th and 27th.
Vouchers will still be available on those days from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We will be back again on September 3rd!

Please join us this coming Wednesday for another hot dog fundraiser down at Save On Foods from 11 am to 2pm.. All proceeds from our hot dog sales and donations of non-perishable goods will help feed local families in Didsbury!

What a great event!! We raised $5580 for Essentials for our Community!

Shout out to Justin Murry who raised over $1700 in pledges and not only completed the 5k, but kept going and did 10k!!! Absolutely amazing.
Justin completed the event on prosthetics and brought such a great energy with his music and flags! Way to go Justin!!!

We're busy getting all the swag bags ready this morning for the run today. And the kitchen crew is busy making the lunches for the community to come out and enjoy.
