St. Barnabas Anglican Church - Deep River, Ontario The parish of St. Barnabas serves people in the Upper Ottawa Valley from Chalk River to Stonecliffe.

Our church is wheelchair accessible with automatic doors, an accessible washroom, and an elevator to the basement. There's also an area, at the front of the church where those in a wheelchairs can easily participate in the service. We also usually use PowerPoint slides projected on the front wall so the use of service books is often unnecessary.

Today we celebrated St Francis of Assisi by blessing animals that had been brought to church and to all those we take care of in our lives. Saint Francis of Assisi is associated with animals because he viewed all creation as part of God's family and treated every living creature with deep respect and brotherly love.
