We are pleased to announce that we will be resuming in-person worship services this Sunday, 13 September 2020, at 10AM

We've done due diligence and implemented COVID-19 protocols as required by the ELCIC Eastern Synod and Nova Scotia Public Health (e.g. signage, contact tracing, masks and seating with social distancing to name a few). There will be a learning curve to navigate our new normal, but how exciting to be able gather in worship once again as a community.

We have received direction on COVID-19 from the ELCIC - National Bishop's office asking congregations to suspend worship services, public gatherings, and other activities sponsored by the church.

As a result, worship services and other programming, including the Lenten Bible study, are cancelled at Grace until further notice.

This is the prudent and responsible course of action in light of guidance from public health authorities to exercise social distancing as an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.

During this unprecedented time we have been encouraged by the ELCIC to make efforts to maintain community by checking in with one another and to continue to worship and pray privately.

For those of you who would like to 'deepen discipleship', Pastor Bill has suggested the following site that you can access reflections by Biblical scholars on the readings for each week at: www.workingpreacher.org.

Pastor Bill's message is: "In these uncertain times which lay ahead, may we be mindful as Christians, to practice good self care, to be mindful of the potential needs of others, and those in our larger community."

Working Preacher is a ministry brought to you by Luther Seminary. The Working Preacher team believes that God uses good biblical preaching to change lives. We have enlisted hundreds of friends -- biblical scholars, theologians, homileticians and pastors dedicated to the craft of biblical preaching -...

The fourth Sunday of Advent already! During Advent we pondered ideas like there being no room at the inn, what we do for others we do for Christ himself, focusing on what we can do with what we have, and love as the promise and the mission.

Perhaps the following poster is a lightweight way to sum up our Advent journey of relating to those among us who may feel there is no room at the inn for them.

12/02/2019

Today, being the first day of Advent, Pastor Bill suggested we consider our recipe for living a journey towards Christmas, and how we may use the ingredients available to us in a complicated world. One in which some may feel like "there is no room at the Inn".

May a pinch of love, a dash of respect, and a smattering of kindness, as we journey through Advent, spread a sense of joy at being invited to a celebration at the stable rather than feeling turned away at the Inn.
