HONOURING DEACON GERALDINE BROWNING

A packed White Family funeral home in Kentville was the venue for the celebration of life service for the one and only Deacon Geraldine Browning. The song “This little light of mine, I am gonna let it shine” made a very fitting conclusion to the powerful home going service. See the shining candles during the singing. Attended by the African United Baptist Association Moderator Rev. Andrea Anderson the service was presided over by the Rev. Stephen Gough formerly pastor at Gibson Woods Baptist church now at Cobequid Road Baptist. Rev. Dr. Elias Mutale immediate past Moderator was also in attendance along with the Vice Moderator sister Veronica Marsman. Shout out to Deacon Craig and Gibson Woods Baptist church for a very fine day for Mrs. Browning.

Thank you Deacon Browning for your larger than life presence among us. Rest well big sister. Fondly remembered. To God be the glory, great things He has done.

The African United Baptist Association 172nd annual gathering concluded today August 17-2025.. Some Images from the worship services and a picture of the ministerial team after the service and also at the post event dinner gathering. Among the dignitaries present were Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard and her Honour Minister Twila Grosse. Also present was Dr. Crystal Todd the newly crowned president of Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada. The Lord was in the house. Pastor Pierre Thompson from the Ramp church in Toronto brought the house down with two ultra inspiring messages on Restoration. May God bless the African United Baptist Association for another whole year. It was an awesome privilege to serve as Moderator for the 2023-2025 term. Blessings upon the new moderator Rev. Andrea Anderson and her team.
