We often talk about trusting God as though it means we shouldn't plan, prepare, or take responsibility.

But Nehemiah prayed and then he had a detailed plan.

God gives us wisdom, gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities. Faith doesn't mean handing those things back to God. Sometimes, we are part of the answer to the prayers we're praying.

A challenging thought: What might God be asking you to do about the thing you're praying about?

Prayer doesn't always have to be long.

Sometimes a few words are enough to turn our hearts back toward God.

“Father, I need you.”
“Jesus, help.”
“Holy Spirit, fill me.”

These are arrow prayers: simple, intentional prayers that keep us centered on God throughout the day.

We often ask God to change our circumstances.

But what if those very circumstances are part of how He's shaping us?

Today is the day we've been given. Right here. Right now.

Instead of wishing this season away, what if we asked:

"Holy Spirit, what do you want to do in me today?"

God isn't just preparing us for a better few years. He's preparing us for eternity with Him.
