Wow.

One million reservations for the Salt Lake Temple open house tour were claimed within 24 hours of going live online.

The tickets are for the "Rejoice in Christ" celebration, a Temple Square event running April 5 through October 1, 2027, that includes the open house tour, exhibits, performances and service opportunities centered on Jesus Christ.

Additional ticket batches will be released in the coming weeks and months, according to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Updates will go out through TempleSquare.org, the Temple Square app, the Temple Square email list and official social media channels.

Not every part of the celebration needs a reservation. Many other Temple Square experiences during the event won't require tickets.

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a global church with a universal message of Jesus Christ in which we rejoice," said President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the event announcing the tickets. "We invite you to come and see and love Jesus Christ and the people who come here."

As September approaches, we’re excited to embrace the new Sunday meeting schedule together!

Sometimes change can feel a little uncertain, but as this fun frog riddle reminds us… there’s a difference between deciding to jump and actually jumping. 🐸💚

Together, let’s choose to “jump” with faith by preparing now—ending meetings on time, moving promptly to classes, minimizing announcements during meeting time, and creating space for meaningful gospel learning and worship.

We are grateful for your willingness to adapt with faith, optimism, and love. Your positive example will help others feel excited and confident as we move forward together.

The First Presidency has promised that “members will be blessed by these changes,” and we trust that promise. We look forward to the blessings the Lord has in store as we lovingly follow His prophet.

The location of the Victoria British Columbia Temple has been announced as a 4.7-acre (1.9-hectare) site located on Mantle Heights Road in Langford, British Columbia. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 11,400 square feet with an accompanying patron waiting area. The official exterior rendering has also been published. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Elder James E. Evanson of the Canada Area Presidency will preside at the event. (Rendering: Intellectual Reserve, Inc.)
