Hello Sisters and Brothers,

Planning for Quest to Christ is slowly rolling forward. After Cranbrook Stake’s initial Moroni’s Quest in 2023, where we borrowed the script, set, props, and costumes, we have wanted to organize our very own Stake’s Quest camp. I have been working steadily on a new script that is just different enough from the traditional Moroni’s Quests that we thought it best to re-title the camp ‘Quest to Christ’. It will still lean heavily on Book of Mormon stories in an immersive way, with stories and re-enactments.

Camp will take place at Camp Rory, a Girl Guide camp west of Rossland. Camp Rory will provide for all the needed aspects of our camp and give our youth a chance to connect with the far reaches of the Stake. Being from Sparwood, I am excited to stretch our Stake’s ability to travel to previously unknown corners of the Kootenays.

I am really excited for the youth to participate in this camp. I am also excited for any adults to participate. We are the people spoken of in 2 Nephi 25:23 who “labor diligently, to persuade our children… to believe in Christ.”

We are currently finalizing the script, which is focused on growing our connection to Jesus Christ, and will be looking to identify Tribe and Family Leaders as well as actors and food staff. We’d like to have as many opportunities as possible to connect via Zoom to review assignments and find effective ways to share our love of the Gospel with these wonderful youth. If you are keen to participate in this event and help our youth connect with Jesus Christ, please give me a shout. Shoot me an email at [email protected]

Wow.

One million reservations for the Salt Lake Temple open house tour were claimed within 24 hours of going live online.

The tickets are for the "Rejoice in Christ" celebration, a Temple Square event running April 5 through October 1, 2027, that includes the open house tour, exhibits, performances and service opportunities centered on Jesus Christ.

Additional ticket batches will be released in the coming weeks and months, according to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Updates will go out through TempleSquare.org, the Temple Square app, the Temple Square email list and official social media channels.

Not every part of the celebration needs a reservation. Many other Temple Square experiences during the event won't require tickets.

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a global church with a universal message of Jesus Christ in which we rejoice," said President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles at the event announcing the tickets. "We invite you to come and see and love Jesus Christ and the people who come here."
