What a treat today! It was the debut of our new youth band!
Special thanks to the countless volunteer hours from our talented accompanist, Daniel, and five kids (and one grandmother). He had quite the vision and the talent (and patience) to make it happen.
The kids picked their instruments in January, and Daniel taught them how to play them by ear...and to work as a team. There were weekly jam sessions and private lessons.
The choir and band, complete with a granddaughter-grandmother duet, were awesome!
Kudos to the kids! May this be the beginning of a lifelong love of playing music.
