🙏 Prayer & Intercession — Wednesday at 7:00 PM

Church family, prayer is the heartbeat of a healthy church. When we gather to seek God together, we make room for His presence, His direction, and His power to work in our lives, our church, our community, and around the world.

Tomorrow evening, let’s come together with faith, expectation, and thankful hearts as we pray and intercede for the needs around us.

🌍 We will also have a special time hearing from the Penneys as they prepare to return to Africa for their missions work. Let’s hear their heart, encourage them, and pray with them as they follow God’s calling.

Let’s Pray for Nepal

Church family, let’s take a few moments to pray for the people of Nepal as they face an unfolding humanitarian catastrophe. 🇳🇵

Behind the headlines are real people—families, children, communities, and those who are suffering, grieving, and desperately in need of help.

Let’s pray:

* 🙏 For protection and safety for those in danger.
* 🙏 For strength and comfort for families who have lost loved ones.
* 🙏 For food, clean water, shelter, medical care, and other essential needs to reach those affected.
* 🙏 For wisdom and strength for relief workers, churches, and organizations serving on the ground.
* 🙏 That God would open doors for the Gospel and that His Church would be a source of hope and compassion.
* 🙏 For peace in the midst of fear, uncertainty, and suffering.

Wednesday Night Prayer & Bible Study

Tonight we gathered for our regular Prayer Meeting, and while we certainly missed many of our regular congregation family, we were thankful for a meaningful time together in God’s presence and in His Word.

Tonight’s Bible study focused on “The Importance of Discipleship in the Christian Walk.”

📖 Jesus calls us not simply to believe in Him, but to follow Him, be transformed by His Word, and become more like Him.

We were reminded that discipleship is:

➡️ A lifelong journey of following Jesus — “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” — Matthew 4:19

➡️ A calling to grow and make disciples — Matthew 28:19

➡️ A daily commitment of surrender — “Deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23

➡️ A journey that produces freedom, fruitfulness, and Christlike character — John 8:31–32

Discipleship challenges our comfort, confronts our flesh, and calls us to daily surrender—but it also brings the joy of knowing Christ more deeply and seeing Him work through our lives.

🙏 Our Prayer Focus This Week

Let’s continue praying together for:

📖 A hunger for God’s Word — Psalm 119:105
❤️ Christlike character — Romans 8:29
💪 Perseverance in our journey — Hebrews 10:36
🛡️ Wisdom and awareness of spiritual pitfalls — 1 Peter 5:8–9
🤝 Unity in our church and a love for the lost — John 13:34–35
🔥 The empowerment of the Holy Spirit — Acts 1:8
🍇 Lives that produce lasting spiritual fruit — John 15:4–5

Church family, discipleship is not simply something we study—it is a life we live. Let’s commit ourselves afresh to following Jesus, growing in His Word, loving one another, reaching the lost, and bearing fruit for His glory.

🙏 Let’s keep praying. Let’s keep growing. Let’s keep following Jesus together.

PRAYER MEETING — TOMORROW EVENING | 7:00 PM

FPC family, we invite you to come and partner together in prayer tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM.

Our emphasis will be on the importance of getting grounded—and staying grounded—in the Word of God. When we build our lives on His Word, we have a firm foundation for every season.

WHAT A GREAT DAY OF FELLOWSHIP! 🧺🍔☀️

What a beautiful Sunday at FPC! 🙌❤️

Our morning worship service, with a special Next Generation emphasis, was truly powerful and uplifting! It was such a joy to celebrate the young people and children God has placed among us and to be reminded of the importance of investing in, encouraging, and praying for the next generation. 🙏🔥

And then… we continued the celebration at our FPC Family Picnic at Bartlett’s Point! 🥳

We had the greatest time of fellowship, food, laughter, conversations, and connections. There’s something so special about stepping outside the church building, sharing a meal, enjoying the outdoors, and simply being together as a church family. ❤️

We are so thankful for everyone who came out and helped make today such a memorable day!

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

What a reminder that church is more than a place we attend—it’s a family we belong to!

We’re excited for a special Sunday morning together at First Pentecostal Church, Corner Brook! ⛪️

PUT ON THE ARMOUR OF GOD 🛡️

What a powerful time of prayer together tonight! We were reminded that we are not called to face each day in our own strength, but to “be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power” and to put on the full armour of God.
— Ephesians 6:10–11

But the armour isn’t something we put on once and forget about. We need to put it on daily. We need truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, God’s Word, and prayer as we walk through every situation the day brings.

So as we continue the prayer emphasis from tonight, we invite you to pray through the armour each day. 🙏

🛡️ Prayer Guide: Praying Through the Armour of God

1. Belt of Truth
Prayer: Lord, fasten Your truth around my life today and help me walk in honesty, clarity, and conviction.

2. Breastplate of Righteousness
Prayer: Jesus, cover my heart with Your righteousness and help me live in purity and integrity.

3. Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Prayer: Father, steady my steps with Your peace and make me ready to share Your hope wherever I go.

4. Shield of Faith
Prayer: Lord, strengthen my faith today and extinguish every lie, doubt, or attack that comes against me.

5. Helmet of Salvation
Prayer: Jesus, guard my mind with the assurance of salvation and fill my thoughts with Your truth.

6. Sword of the Spirit
Prayer: Holy Spirit, empower me to speak and stand on Your Word with boldness and wisdom.

7. Prayer in the Spirit
Prayer: Lord, keep me prayerful, alert, and sensitive to Your voice as I walk through this day.

🙏 Put it on. Pray it through. Live it out.

PRAYER MEETING | WEDNESDAY AT 7 PM
Join us this Wednesday evening at 7 PM at First Pentecostal Church for a powerful time of prayer as we focus on The Armour of God.

We are living in days when we need to be spiritually strong, alert, and equipped. Together, we’ll pray that God would help us stand strong, pray boldly, and live protected in His presence.

“Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.” Ephesians 6:11

Come ready to pray. Come ready to stand. Come expecting God to move!
