Today we celebrate the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆, marking the dawn of hope and salvation for the world. Her birth heralded the coming of the light into the darkness, preparing the way for our Savior.

Registration is now open for our Family Catechetics program, helping form students from Kindergarten to Year 6—plus two years of Confirmation preparation—into prayerful, committed Christians.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧:
• Students register according to their school grade level (e.g., Year 4 aligns with Grade 4).
• Forms are available at all church entrances, or you can register in advance by contacting Angie or the parish office.

𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝘿𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 & 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙨:
• Sessions: Held during the first week of each month (note: September sessions begin during the third week). A parent or guardian is required to stay for the duration of all sessions.
• Fees: The registration fee covers the cost of the required textbook:
• Years 1–6: $46.54
• Confirmation Year 1: $39.99
• Confirmation Year 2: $35.14
• Fees can be paid in person or via e-transfer to [email protected].

We would like all students and parents throughout the diocese to know that an active Catholic presence is established at Grenfell Campus.

To help students remain grounded in their faith, connect with new friends, and stay involved, the ministry offers a schedule of regular events:

𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿: Look for our booth, manned by some of our students, on September 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 & 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Mass is celebrated every second Tuesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. in the multi-faith room (AS 273), beginning on Tuesday, October 13th, followed by a faith discussion over lunch.

Additional activities are also planned throughout the academic year to foster a supportive community for students.

Starting tomorrow, Monday, August 17, the Cathedral will be open again as usual, ahead of the previously announced schedule.

The Cathedral will be reopening Friday, April 24th at 7pm for our regular Friday Exposition. Masses will resume on Saturday, April 25th as per usual.

Please note the only Mass on Friday will be 830am at All Hallows and Mary’s Kitchen is still cancelled.
