🌟 A Beautiful Beginning at Sabeel Weekend School! 🌟

Alḥamdulillāh, our very first day at IslamicWeekend School was filled with smiles, learning, and excitement as our young students took their first steps on a journey of Qur’an, Islamic values, and love for the masjid. 📚✨

We ask Allah ﷻ to place barakah in this initiative, benefit every child who attends, and make them among the righteous and steadfast upon His religion. Āmīn.

🌿 From mountain trails to dinner tables, what a day! 🌿

Alhamdulillah, we had an incredible day with our youth as we celebrated Eid together through a scenic hike, good company, and plenty of fun along the way. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Allah’s creation, strengthen friendships, and build lasting memories as a community.

We then wrapped up the adventure with a fantastic community lunch featuring cheese and chicken pizza, chicken alfredo, chicken and spinach rosé pasta, chicken skillet, and many happy faces around the table.

We ask Allah ﷻ to bless our youth, reward all the volunteers and parents who made this event possible, and continue to unite our community upon goodness and faith.

🌙✨ Eid al-Adha 1447 at Sabeel Corner Brook Islamic Centre ✨🌙

Alhamdulillah, we were blessed to come together yesterday as a community to celebrate Eid al-Adha through prayer, remembrance of Allah, and joyful gatherings with family and friends.

From the Eid prayer to the festivities that followed, it was heartwarming to see our community united in gratitude, brotherhood, and sisterhood. Moments like these remind us of the blessings Allah ﷻ has bestowed upon us and the importance of strengthening the bonds between one another.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, organized, and contributed to making the day a success. May Allah accept our sacrifices, our worship, and our good deeds, and allow us to witness many more Eids together in good health and faith.

On Thursday, April 2nd, Dr. Shahid (President), Dr. Alhassan (Secretary), and the Imam of the Sabeel Corner Brook Islamic Centre were honoured as guests of the Corner Brook Rotary Club at the Glynmill Inn.

The President delivered a 15-minute presentation titled “Muslim Community in Corner Brook: Visibility, Solidity, and Solidarity,” highlighting our journey since 2018 and the establishment of our mosque and community centre.

The session was followed by thoughtful questions and meaningful engagement. We are grateful for the warm reception and growing interest in our community.
