Our worship is liturgical, relaxed and participatory, our welcome is genuine, and the kettle is on. Morning Prayer — The Week After Trinity Sunday

The night has passed, and the day lies open before us.
You are welcome to join Morning Prayer with St. Laurence Anglican Church, led by Philip Cochrane.

This week, we carry Matthew 28 into the days ahead, sitting with the hillside in Galilee where some worshipped and some doubted, and where the risen Christ spoke to all of them. Through Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, we will open that scene slowly, letting it speak into ordinary life and ordinary faith.

This week's daily themes:
Monday: Doubt honoured. Standing in two places at once is not weakness but maturity. The commission goes to doubters first.
Tuesday: The nature of God. Not a distant authority issuing orders, but the source of all life, whose instinct is to give, to include, to spill over. Who is the God who says, "I am with you always"?
Thursday: The beloved community. What God is building, and what it means to discover that you are already living inside it.
Friday: The non-friend neighbour. What faithful witness looks like in ordinary life, at every stage. The Great Commandment as the shape of the Great Commission.

Morning Prayer is a simple, ancient rhythm: scripture, psalm, silence, reflection, intercession, and blessing. It takes around thirty minutes. It asks nothing of you except that you show up.
You are welcome here whether you are a regular in Anglican worship, returning to prayer after some time away, or simply curious about what it might mean to begin a day in the presence of God.

What to expect:

The whole event exceeded expectations at every point….well done to the organizers and volunteers. Feeling blessed and grateful 🔥🔥🔥 but not entirely sure why there are no pics of the St Laurence team or much of the Archbishop 🙈🙈
