Life groups are designed to help followers of Jesus grow in their love for God and one another. We do this by meeting regularly in groups of around 6-12 people to study God's word, pray, give thanks to God, encourage & support one another, and help each other to fulfill God's mission.

Hi everyone,

What a lot of snow we got last night! With nearly a foot of snow in our parking lot, and slippery road conditions, we've decided that we will be cancelling our services this morning.

On this, the first Sunday of Lent, we'd invite you to spend time with your families, housemates, or together with friends to think about and cultivate our hunger and need for Jesus. So before starting the rest of your day, why don't you take a moment to pray the opening verses of Psalm 63:

"You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you."

Throwing it way back on this (day after) to 1976 and 1980. Hillsiders and churchgoers in general are not new to the responsibilities of stewarding the incredible resource of a church building! Take a look at what Hillsiders of 1980 were up to with their project.

Then allow us to introduce you to what was a lovely new HVAC system in 1976! Now a heap of metal getting ready to be replaced by an efficient heating AND COOLING system.

Work is progressing well on the roof as well, we're 90% done. And thank you to everyone who has given and pledged to the Building With A Mission Campaign. As of last weekend we have raised $317,602 toward our goal of $1,000,000! Great job Hillside, and we encourage you to consider how you may participate in this project as we hit the mid way point of our month of giving! Are you looking to explore Christian ministry in a local church? We are so pleased to be able to hire 3 people this summer. (We are looking for two Youth Interns and one Worship Ministry Assistant.)

Hillside is a medium-sized church in the Tri-Cities; the nature of a church our size means that you'll be able to grow and learn with the support of a great team around you, while also finding a large number of opportunities to take leadership and practice ministry skills in a highly relational church family.
