🙌 VERSES OF THE WEEK 🙌 HAPPY SABBATH 🙌

What Jesus is telling you about TRUTH:

I am the Truth

In the Gospel of John, Jesus declares, "I am the way and the truth and the life". He doesn't just speak about truth; He embodies it.

Knowing the Truth Brings Freedom

In John 8:31-32, Jesus says, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free". This implies that a life aligned with His teachings leads to liberation from falsehood and sin.

Truth is Embodied in His Teachings

The freedom mentioned in John 8:32 is directly linked to "abiding in my word". This means that adhering to Jesus' teachings is the way to discover and live in the truth.

Truth is Essential for Worship

Jesus also told the Samaritan woman that "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth". Worshiping God requires an encounter with truth, as revealed through Jesus.

The Spirit of Truth Guides

Jesus further explained that the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of truth) would come to guide His followers. 🙏🙌

John 15:26: "But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me".

John 16:7: "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you".

This TRUTH is revealed to those who find Christ. Those who pray to have their eyes opened as a new creation, access to the holy spirit.

How can you receive the gift of the holy spirit of truth?

Jesus says to "ask and it will be given," "seek and you will find," and "knock and the door will be opened" in Matthew 7:7

Ask: This is the initial step of presenting your needs and requests to God in prayer.

Seek: This implies actively searching for God and His will with diligence and persistence, much like searching for something lost or a merchant seeking precious pearls.

Knock: This is the act of persistent effort to gain admission or entrance, metaphorically knocking at God's door for fellowship and to enter His kingdom.

Today is your day to ask, seek, knock! We aren't guranteed tommorrow.
