As announced at church yesterday, we are so pleased to welcome Scott & Heather Newbury as our new worship directors at Revive!!!
Heather and Scott were involved in church life practically from birth. They both feel blessed to be the beneficiaries of rich family legacies of faith going back over a century in Newfoundland. They began serving in church life from a very early age, mainly in music ministry. Since both of their fathers were pastors, “helping out” in church, was just a part of life. After leaving home to go to MUN, they both served in leadership roles at Chi Alpha as well as the local church. As their teaching careers took them to rural Newfoundland and later to Ontario, they continued to serve in each church they became planted in. Scott’s roles have included Youth leader, Worship Director, band member and outreach leader. Heather’s roles have included youth leader, band member, board member, elder and Pastoral Care director. Above any other role, they are most grateful to be the parents of two adult daughters, Emma and Kate, and son-in-law Nathan, who they have the privilege of serving alongside in ministry at Revive. With Heather’s parents also serving at Revive, it truly feels like “Home”.
