We are so thankful that Ife Nwosu will again be joining us as our Summer Student Program Assistant! Ife is very gifted and will be serving with kids, youth, the office, tech and more.

We are also very thankful that Hilary Fisher, originally from NL, who recently completed her studies at Vanguard will be joining us this fall as our Youth Pastor! Hillary has served in pastoral care and counselling in various contexts and with Power to Change.

These two gifted members of our team are ready to make a difference!

Last week, Pastor Corey spoke on the importance of focus, training, and investment in achieving goals, emphasizing that your focus will impact your outcome. The journey is harder when burdened by shame, guilt, and bitterness. When focusing on Jesus, we overcome obstacles, empowering us to run freely with perseverance, love, and grace.

Your words and actions have a profound impact on others. When filled with God’s love, it flows from you to others. Love calls people up; it says “come as you are”, but also encourages growth and transformation.

Hebrews encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith, running with perseverance and keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. 2 Timothy urges us to be faithful in our gifts and callings, making ourselves vessels to share Jesus’ love with others. Don’t worry about your qualifications; nothing is impossible with God.

Where is your focus? Are you anchored by burden or sin? It’s time to let go of the chains holding you down. Lay them at the feet of Jesus. Walk into His freedom and let the Holy Spirit guide and flow through you. If you’re unsure where to start, reach out to us!
