Our Mission: Offering the care & comfort of Christ. We are active in the community through our food bank, Parish Nurse, Prison Ministry.

As an Affirming Church we are a safe place for all people to worship regardless of gender identity, race creed, age, ability, cultural background or sexual orientation. Cole Harbour Woodside United Church (CHWUC) is a growing congregation of about 300 families committed to offering the care and comfort of Christ through many ministries. We currently offer online and in person service of worship on

Sunday morning at 10:30am from the long weekend of September to the long weekend of May. Service is at 10am otherwise. It is a lively service with people of all ages participating and supported by the music of our choir. SUNDAY WORSHIP – 10:30 am (In person and on Zoom/ YouTube)

Join us for some spiritual exercise during Walking Church, this Saturday, September 5 at 10am

📍Salt Marsh Trail - Meet at the 2nd parking lot on Bissett Road

🌟 What is Walking Church? 🌟
Walking Church is a way to connect with nature and to explore and deepen your spirituality. All are welcome! Anyone can come no matter if you have never been to a church or you are a regular church goer.

Before we start walking, a guide will say a short devotion. A devotion is a few readings that share a theme. The readings are usually about nature, respecting the land, community and being kind to each other. They might be poems or stories. There will also be prayers and a few words from the Bible that go with the theme. The devotion is to help us focus on our hearts and on the world around us. This usually lasts about 10 minutes. Then we walk! When we come back the guide will say a blessing.

Today is the day of the Gold & Silver Fundraiser!

Come to the Cole Harbour Woodside United Church today, September 3 between 9am and 5pm. You may have heard of International Auction, a Montreal based business that schedules events in cities across Canada when requested by organizations such as ours. At these events, citizens can bring in gold or silver jewelry and coins that they wish to sell.

Your participation will determine how successful this event becomes. When you bring in an item of jewelry, whether broken or not, one earring maybe, you will then have a chance to donate all the funds to the Church or retain a portion for yourself. You can also help to spread the word to family, friends, neighbours or those you chat with while shopping!

This is a wonderful chance for each of us to continue offering the "care and comfort of Christ".

The Cole Harbour UCW Unit is looking for new members who might be interested in joining. Meetings are held on the 1st Monday evening of each month @ 7 pm in the Meeting Room. For more information, or if interested, please contact Dolores Adams.

The purpose of UCW is “To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service.”

Our UCW supports local and community ministries and often has guest speakers as part of the monthly meeting. The unit helps with providing funeral receptions as part of our funeral ministry.

A warm invitation is extended to all women in the congregation to join the Cole Harbour UCW.
