King's Gate Church was planted in Cochrane in the Fall of 1980 by Pastors Robert & Angela Butler. The Butlers immigrated to Cochrane from England in 1979 and felt the Lord call them to start a Spirit-filled work in the community. Through the faithfulness of the Lord and the efforts of our members the building of our present location began in April 1994, with our first service being held in the beg

inning of December 1994. It was dedicated to the Lord at its official opening in the Fall of 1995. Shortly after moving into our building, on January 15th 1995 we experienced a powerful outpouring of the Spirit in our Sunday evening service as God began to release His river of revival upon us. Since that time we have experienced many changed lives and some amazing miracles as waves of refreshing wash over us in the presence of the Lord. The river of the Spirit continues to get deeper, and our experience God becomes richer by the day. He continues to amaze us in our worship services as He touches lives in the power of the Spirit. Our vision is to continue to see revival fires burn bright until Jesus returns.

The Rebuild: Ezra, Nehemiah & The Rebuild

Pastor Danny Wilson has been leading us through a powerful ongoing series!

Throughout The Rebuild, we’ve been reminded that rebuilding is about more than restoring walls. It’s about allowing God to rebuild our hearts, renew our identity, and draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.

From learning to rely on God through wilderness seasons to recognizing that our own efforts are not enough, each message points us back to the grace of God. When we are born again, we become a new creation, with a new family, and a new identity.

The wall may be finished, but the journey isn’t over. God is calling us to keep moving forward, growing in faith, and allowing Him to continue His work within us.

Our efforts are not enough, but His grace is. 🤍

On August 23rd, Pastor Danny explored the connection between the promises made by the people in Nehemiah 9 and the religious systems Jesus confronted in the New Testament.

The truth remains the same for us today: we cannot make ourselves new through our own efforts. We need to be born again. Through the grace of God and faith in Jesus Christ, we are made new creations.

What happens when we truly encounter Christ and give Him our yes?

A yes that says, “Lord, have Your way.” A yes that chooses surrender, obedience, and trust, even when we don’t know what comes next.

May we be a people willing to lay it all down, encounter Jesus deeply, and say yes to whatever He is calling us into. 🙏

What an amazing summer at Bible Beach Club! 🌊☀️

Over the past eight weeks, our KGC Kids have learned one important truth: We can trust God. Most importantly, we’ve learned about who Jesus is, our Savior, who offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who believes in Him. ❤️

Tomorrow, August 30, we’re wrapping up the summer with our Bible Beach Club Wrap-Up Party! We’ll celebrate with some of our favourite games and lessons from the summer.

🎣 Then this fall, we’ll begin our new theme, Fishers of Men, based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 4:19: “Come, follow me... and I will send you out to fish for people.” Our focus will be simple: the most important thing we can do with our lives is follow Jesus and help others follow Him too.

We can’t wait for what’s ahead! 🙌
