Our team link is in our bio and we invite anyone who is interested to reach out and join us in the day. This event takes place in Toronto and if we get enough interest we will rent a bus and go together.

Recognizing that the recent fire in Colborne at their only grocery store is going to create challenges for many residents, and especially for those without a vehicle, Community Care Northumberland will be providing transportation on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Cobourg Foodland.

To accommodate immediate food needs, we will be running a vehicle this Friday morning and then for the next two weeks, every Tuesday and Thursday. During this time, this service will be provided free of charge. We only ask that you call our Transportation office to pre-book your space. Depending on the needs of the community, we can either utilize one of our accessible vehicles which accommodates 5 seats and 1 wheelchair, or another that allows for 13 seats.

After this two weeks, we will re-assess stops, funding and need but rest assured we will continue to provide this service as long as it is needed.

If a different type of transportation is needed, please call our Transportation department at 1-866-768-7778 and we will be happy to help you. If we can assist with emergency food needs through our Meals on Wheels program, please call 1-866-514-5774.
