A Prayer for Tumbler Ridge

Oh merciful God, we bring before you the community of Tumbler Ridge. Send your Holy Spirit to comfort the families and friends of those who are deeply affected by this tragedy. Lord, be present in the midst of this pain of lives cut short. We pray for those who are injured and recovering. We pray for healing and speedy recovery. We pray for health and wholeness in body and mind. Father, we cannot make sense of this tragedy. Give us a peace that is beyond understanding. Be merciful to those now wounded. Be present to those now bereaved. We lift up every single person that is a part of the Tumbler Ridge High School and Elementary School community. Hold them in your hands, Lord Jesus. For the days to come, we pray for moments of deep connection, compassion, and unity in our province. Be with us in our grief, O Christ.
