We’ve recruited another volunteer for the FAITH Pantry - Moon! He stopped in while out for his evening walk. He is a 180 lb Newfoundland dog and he is only 1 year old. Moon’s volunteer job is to stop in and bring smiles to people, and it certainly worked tonight. Thanks Marcel for stopping by. We are looking forward to Moon’s next visit.

The Chesterville Agricultural Society had 17 entries in Class 13, Section 40 of Youth Crafts. Our youth were invited to decorate a box filled with a minimum of 3 non-perishable food items as a donation to FAITH Pantry. The boxes are absolutely beautiful and are on display in the church Dining Hall. Come to our dinner this Friday and take a minute to look at all the work that went into decorating and choosing food items. Thank you to our Fair Board, our youth who participated and the parents who provided the groceries!

Just a few of the treats that have come through the doors of the FAITH Pantry over the last week. Thank you to our community for your continued generosity. And there are still fresh vegetables showing up in the veggie bins daily!

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the Chesterville Fair. We had such a fun weekend.

This is our Annual Winter Clothing Giveaway for the community. This year it is being held at The Gathering House. All donations can be dropped off at Christ Church United or The Gathering House by October 21. Thank you!

The FAITH Pantry feels excited to have been invited to partner with the Chesterville Fair this year. Come and visit us in the Agrcultural Hall (Exhibition Hall) to learn more about our programs. We will also be collecting grocery items and monetary donations. See you at the Fair!

First thing you might notice upon entering the Sanctuary is the two flatscreens that have been hung behind the lectern - we didn’t use them for today’s service, but we will be. We are saddened that we had to take down the beautiful quilt created for our 100th Anniversary last year - but don’t worry - we intend to hang this again in the Sanctuary shortly. We’re thinking to move it over onto the wall where the projector screen hangs, because we still want it at the front and centre. What do you think? 🤔

Sharing a short video of the sound test in the Sanctuary yesterday by OSE’s Peter Gilroy. The audio portion of the technology upgrade has been installed and the minister has a new headset (one that works throughout the Sanctuary) and we’ve now two working microphones. The video portion of the upgrades will be installed next, in the next few weeks.
