Eight people stepped into the water and publicly declared their faith in Jesus and our church family had the incredible privilege of standing beside them, cheering them on, praying with them, and celebrating together.

There’s something powerful about baptism. It’s a visible marker of a life being made new. A declaration that says, “I have decided to follow Jesus.”

To each person who was baptized: we are so grateful for your courage, your stories, and the ways God is at work in your lives. We’re honoured to walk alongside you in whatever comes next.

And to our Lake Ridge family: Thank you for showing up, bringing food, pulling up chairs, celebrating loudly, and making this such a beautiful day together.

Eight baptisms. Eight stories. One faithful God.

There’s something incredibly beautiful about a church family getting to send people well.

Today we gathered around Tasha and Kieran to pray, bless them, and thank God for the many years they have been part of the Lake Ridge family.

You have served, loved, worshipped, laughed, prayed, and shared life alongside us and you have left your fingerprints on this community in more ways than you probably know.

As you begin a new chapter in BC, our prayer is that you would go knowing you are deeply loved, that God goes before you, and that the same faithfulness that has carried you this far will meet you in everything ahead.

This isn’t goodbye, it’s go with God.

We are grateful for another season of discipleship at the Harbour in Riondel, BC. Between Headwaters Discipleship supporting young adults in their journey of faith, or the Wild Goose Collective which is a creative community making beauty and goodness, we’d love to invite a young adult in your life to consider taking eight weeks to grow closer to Jesus. The next Headwaters starts in May, 2027!

It's with sadness that we share news from our sister church in Norquay, Saskatchewan on the tragic passing of their beloved Pastor Marty Johnson. Marty was on his way to speak at Covenant Heights Teen Camp on Sunday when he was involved in a single-vehicle accident and was killed. Together we pray for comfort for Marty's wife and sons, and for the whole church community he loved so well.

With heavy hearts, we invite our church family, friends, and communities to join us as we celebrate the life of our beloved Pastor Marty.
