Before advertising for a part-time position due to Nathan Zwicker’s departure, the United Church requires a discernment committee to analyze the current needs of the congregation; this is not a hiring committee. As part of our mission, the committee developed a survey for the Spring Park community to provide us with feedback on your perspectives. The Discernment Committee members are Marilyn Carey, Tracy Cudmore, Wayne Cutcliffe (Chair), Wayne Hambly, Derek Kronemeyer, and Rev. Pix Butt (Regional Liaison). Feel free to contact us if you would like further clarification.
The Survey (information extracted from the introduction)
The Discernment Committee would like your feedback to help us understand what values and activities are most important to sustain and grow Spring Park United Church. The main goal of this survey is to help the Discernment Committee determine what type of supports and/or staff responsibilities are needed to best maintain and expand our community of Faith. The results of the survey may be used to inform decisions by other Committees, where it is relevant.
• You can complete this survey anonymously, unless you wish to provide the Discernment Committee with additional feedback.
• It should take approximately 20 minutes to complete the survey.
• Please answer individually and feel free to share with anyone inside or outside of the Spring Park United Church community.
• Some questions are mandatory and you must complete them in order to submit the survey.
Please complete the online survey using this link:

Hardcopy versions will be available Sunday, if preferred.
The survey will be available for the next two weeks.
Some question clarifications
Questions 3 and 4 asking that you order seven activities/services by their importance may cause confusion.
• For each row (activity/service), you can only check one box to indicate its importance (1,2,3…7). 1 is highest importance to 7 lowest importance.
• For each column, you must have a box checked and only one.
The effect of this requirement is that you ordered all these things by their importance.
For Question 6, you can only check one box (i.e. which one is the most important).
At the soup luncheon on Sunday, committee members are available to answer questions.
