NEVER ever tell people to "find a good church".
It could be the worst advice we ever give, the worst "evangelism" we will ever do.

Unbelievers.don't know what that means, they don't know how to evaluate & make that judgement.
All churches would say they speak on the bible. This one too!
Always give them names of a church to go to.
Vetted churches ONLY!

And more do the same for house churches.
I am aware of house churches who as corrupt as this. Gay & transvestite affirming house churches. Don't tell people to find & "try a "good" house church.

Oh, Lord, spare them that search. Vet them.

Most westerners can't bring themselves to believe it. The western church baggage weights down our vision.
Simple, lite, economical churches are the only ones that multiply to any degree.
Seen this truth in 3 countries. In fact, the possibility of us planting a church, other than a simple economical church, is basically statistically close to ZERO for most ministry & church leaders.

Inviting people to a church event is not "evangelism". The devil loves it when we do this, because we never actually talk about Jesus or the gospel to this person (a win for the devil), and most will never respond to the invitation (and they walk away from You habing heard no gospel).

This podcast is older. There are things i woud say different. And it was a conversation between a guy out of the box in simple repeatable, cost free, house churching, and a guy in the box of established churches and a bible college professor training preachers.
So it reglects both worlds.

With fruit like this from christian churches. even "born again" christians, i wonder why we would even wish to prop up that system?
However, I'm sad to say that many forms of household churching are not doing much better. In fact, worse. Because they are "reinventing". Human wisdom is applied to the church also.
Lean into Christ via Acts 2:42 practices when we assemble, and apply the one anothers. Its the only path to transformation.
God knows us, he gave us the habbits that make us lean in Christ & his Spirit most.
Thus the transformation.

One self appointed "apostle" i know said he doesnt read scrupture anymore. "I already know all thar stuff.!", he said.
"I havent read the bible for over a year & a half, and its been freedom!", he said.

This man has been in ministry 35, if not 40 years. A church planter too.

I can assure you. He doesn't know scripture very well.

I'm not a Calvin's. However, this sermon describes very well, where i got to.
I've said most of it personally.
I had to get a new life and a few Saints who "get it", I could not take it any more.
I wish those folks well. I am for their success also.

Recovery of the "Little Church".

I was left feeling that these kind of localized reformations & restorations of the New Testament ways of living out our faith in Jesus is really the same motivation we have in Household churches.

For us personally, it is not a "new way of doing church" (it isn't a new way, its te NT way), but more!
It's also about a new way of living, learning, leaning into Jesus, in all of life
Revil of the ancient paths.
The puritans capture that fire of nearness to Christ in all things, in all of life.
And a tribe of believers to assemble with, who are all in, with Christ.
