I found this very sad.
But it's what marketing churches do. They will use anything & manyone they can for marketing purposes
They leverage people, for visibility.
People are used, and platformed accordingly to their usefulness to these goals.
Ordinary faithful people have NO significant opportunity to do great things, just mundane things..
He felt used, and it violated his new young conscience that has been informed by his new birth.

There are always "Over The Top" articles written about house churches.
When such articles are published, institutional people start sharing it widely, to prop up their institutions, and sow doubt.
Here is the point, some churches DO have issues.
That is the point!
House or traditional, both.
There are issues that need to be acknowledged & addressed about "Church".

This was a ballanced approach to help you not overreact.
This is my advice, Just don't react!
There are always valid criticisms, acknowledge them. Repent of them if necessary, in any form of church.
There are house churches i would not cross the street to attend. They simoly do not act or function like an assembly should.
I call some of them "Chit Chat" churches. Devpid of Acts 2:42.
Some folks are trying to reinvent, what God gave us. 🙄
But to disparrage biblically functining assemblies of believers because of their assembly in household sizes, is a biblically warped ecclesiology.

It isn’t Rocket science, unless you require their rocket science know-how to build & fly a rocket, where we are not allowed to have too many small rockets around, not everyone can have a "rocket", that is too dangerous.
Yes, i agree, a community with MANY churches, in every small obscure corner, is dangerous. In the best possible way.

Once you realize church is basically free, you cannot unsee it. That's when multiplication begins.

And folks requiring salary.... or is it drmanding it (?) (though biblical & worthy. I benifited from that as a preacher & a missionary) & costly church structure feel attacked & sense the need to defend what they do. Of course.
Just don't enter that battle.
Simply saying, "Disciple badically free", you have say nothing against that church system. But that is what those in it hear. Its impossible to avoid someone assuming & "taking offense".
Dont go there.

Do the small economical things. LIVE IT!
Do the kingdom well, simply, so that budgets never have to become the main driving factor deciding kingdom activity, service, or decisions. Do what you can, & must, for 2 or 3 for free of charge, or at a cost you can fund & support personally . You do not need to wait for $10,000, before we begin anything. Start with what can be done now.
Somewhere along the line serving 3-4 according to your ability became not enough.

Mounce Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words.
"One Another"
This is why Community can never happen alone; for we are participating in "one anothering." No lone wolfs in this equation.
Also, if we are in a crowd of people in the same building, but we cannot find people willing to include us, or begin "one anothering," we have a fake community.
We have a uniting event, but not a united "community."
Two major assumptions institutional people always take.
1. They assume that outside the traditional structure EVERYONE cannot, is not, or does not participate in "one anothering", as if it's found no other place but their chapel.
2. On the flip side, assume that because we are inside the chapel, we absolutely do have "one anothering" going on.
There are many excluded, isolated and lonely people in many churches... who want a tribe to share life with, but cain't find it, and thwarted or stymied while trying to create it. Left alone! No one aswereing the call.

The kingdom never meant for any of us to be spectators or costumers only. But both inside the congregation and outside it people avoid discipleship.
We are to sow these one anothers into other willing tribes-people.
We would expect to recieve the same blessing of the "one anothers", as a recipient, also.
When we can't find, create, and participate in it with anyone, we know we are part of a club. Not much reason to be there if we can't function as Jesus' people. You're welcome to go searching for it among other people, in my opinion, until you find a few. And that is all it takes; A few! Because sometimes it's not just you, it's them. (The flip side of their accusations). If we cain't find or create community here, you should move on and honor Christ by seeking it out.

Many if not all large mass movements toward God the Father through Christ, took place apart from the institutional clergy. Often only embracing the work only when it was impossible to ignore it any further.

We forget our own children, family, husband, wife, extended family, neighbours, which are often extended family in rural communities, are our missionfield too.

It is not selfish!
It is not a lack of "mission"!
It's not a lesser mission!
This is our first mission!

In fact, Paul makes clear that our work in that first mission field is what qualifies or even disqualifies you for the other mission fields.

What is the theological difference been a household church of 10, 20, or 50, if it's mostly uncles, cousins, and friends & neighbours you grew up with went to school with, versus one of strangers?
The answer is..... nothing.
There is no theological difference at all.
Both are churches.

Household church is the NT church, followed relational connections.
Always did, always will.
You speak to the people in your life.
Not the ones you never encounter.

You can serve others in the world, but you serve your family & extended household, & local community first, mostly, until you are displaced somewhere else in the world, or country.

Make your house, it's members your first disciple "program", it begins there, though it doesn't end there.
Don't wonder in surprise why some families see many, if not most, in the faith to the 3 or 4 generations.
There is a reson for that. Someone had the fire of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in them, and it was seen, respected, understood, & caught by many others, they lived it out also. They saw first hand, faith in Christ, its beauty, its life giving transformation power first hand, in their mom, dad, grandparents, or aunts and uncles, cousins, co worker, friend si ce highschool friend, and they wanted the same hope, faith, & beauty of Christ for themselves too.
We see the priorities those family's made.
Now that doesn't gurantee anything.
Freewill is a hard medicine.
Yet, where there is fruit, there is Gospel fertilizer.

Some folks have their eyes on things far away, over the next hill, something after this "waiting period". When our service ministry to who is right in front of us now, never changes.
Never will.

Consider this, has God set it up in such a way that our family, extended household, extended family & community around you now, is our training & testing ground?

What does the church do in times of great uncertainty? We keep doing what we are called to do, and don't stop.
Nothing changes!

They set up Gospel music & teaching FM Radio broadcast towers in Remote Canadian villages only accessed by boat or small float plane. Beaming in Gospel content created by aborginals, for aborginals, in local langauges.
Based in Deluth Minnesota, serving Northern Canada.

I know another Shortwave preacher whos daily 1 hr radio broadcast is called "Church At Home". The purpose is for people to assemble people in your home, family friends neighbours, to be a church for Christ in their home . He teaches, they lead communion, encourge them to make contributions to the poor, widows, orphans in their town or village. They are to discuss and fellowship with each other.
They know for certain over 10,000 home based churches in the home have formed and use the broadcast. They have written to say so.
But we know there are probably thousands more. It might not be your kind of "house church" but it firmly reminds people there are no excuses for not acting like a church even in the remotest unreached places on earth.
No building, no paid local "professionalized clergy system", NO PROBLEM!
Doesnt matter. Stop acting like helpless infants.

Trans world radio does the same in india.
A broadcast supporting small groups, with over 10,000 formed.

Two things Canadian church.
1. Why are Americans having to do this?
Thank you, you Americans with such an incredible missions mindset. Who does it, isn't the issue, but our lack of concern for unreached people in Canada is an issue.

We talked about something like this with free cds, back in early 2000's for Quebec we dont physically plant the churches. We provide resources for people to gather and do so themselves. Let grassroots churches form from locals, who have tools to help them. New paper & Radio ADS.

2. Anyway, this is my only opinion in this, is that gospel music is good, but not just christian music DJ Stations.
Broadcasts with a view and promotion that hearers find others to assemble with in their home, their village, even if it is your brother sister, a friend, a neighbour and
ACT LIKE A CHURCH,
Live like a church,
interact over scrupture like a church.

The boadcast is not "your church".
It is a helper to get you going only.
Maybe that's the thing, don't listen to the broadcast, FOR your assembly, AS your assembly, but just a teacher & helper to you as the host, before it?
Not directed from the outside.

So many possibilities to launch thousands of house churches in Canada.

Imagine if christian radio stations constantly encouraged people to assemble and act like a church? Do what the NT churches did?
Not hidden behind exclusive paywalls.

I don't know anything about this ministry. Therefore, I cannot recommend them. .
But i .LOVE what they do.

By natives. For natives. Nations One combines a passion for radio broadcasting and sharing the Gospel to transform lives through the joy of the message of Christ. We partner with First Nations churches and individuals in remote northern Canada to create radio content that
