• Glen Rice passed away on Sunday morning. We send our condolences to Betsy and the rest of the family. There will be a funeral here at Charing Cross, likely in a couple of weeks. Once we have details, they will be passed along.

Informational Updates :
• A group of Turkey Pie volunteers met as well to discuss our downsizing of the project. The plan is as follows:

o 88 batches over 4 weeks – 3000 pies per week. Total will be 1000 dozen which is 427 dozen less than 2026 production. Dates will Jan 4, 11, 18 and 25 for pies.

o There will be a random draw to see who gets the 1000 dozen pies based on the 2026 sales.

o Turkey cooking will occur November 7th, 14th, and 21st.

o Celery and Onions the week after Thanksgiving – October 17th.

o Price will increase to $48 per dozen - $4 per pie.

Informational Updates :

• Church Council met after the service. Larry updated the group on the quotes to update our signs for the new name – Charing Cross Wesley. A vendor was selected and Larry is moving forward with getting the signs.

• One of the cameras didn’t record today, so I have sound for the whole service, but I don’t have video of the message. Sorry for the inconvenience.

• Trustees met last Sunday after the service. Regarding the manse, they have taken the decision to rent the manse. It is now a matter of setting a rent and finding a tenant.

• The Visioning Committee is looking after updating the sign by the main doors as well as the lighted sign in front of the church. Prices have been obtained, looking to make a decision soon.

Auction Sale:
• Thanks to all that helped to make the night a great success. Whether it was in the kitchen, baking a cake, baking for the sale, collecting items for the sale, cleaning up or just doing all the things that need to be done.
• Special call out to Ken Chittim for being our auctioneer and his assistants that distributed all of the items.
• After all expenses the net proceeds were $10,624.55
