ANNOUNCING THE CHAPEL ARM END OF SUMMER BASH

July’s Weather didn’t co-operate, but we’re back and better than ever! We're bringing back the same Canada Day Wiener Roast and Fireworks you love, rescheduled with added fun to make the most of the end of summer.

Join us at Western Cove Beach on September 7th at 5:30pm for a FREE evening of food and fun. We’re serving up BBQ moose burgers and hotdogs, roasting marshmallows, and playing games at Western Cove Beach. The talented Paul Williams will be providing music from 6-8.

Fireworks will be set off from the old wharf area just after dark, perfect for viewing from Western Cove Beach.

Fire Hazard Update:
The Fire Hazard Rating for parts of the Avalon has been updated to High and Very High. While our community remains at a Moderate rating, neighbouring areas are currently under further restrictions. Residents are encouraged to stay up to date on conditions as they travel throughout the province by visiting:

Upcoming Delayed Opening:

The Town Office will have a delayed opening on Monday, August 17th, 2026, while we undergo technical upgrades. We anticipate upgrades should be completed mid-morning, and will post updates once we re-open. We thank residents for their patience.

E-MAIL SCAM WARNING:

The office has been notified about a phishing scam which may appear to be sent by the Town, stating that the recipient is the winner of a monetary prize. The e-mail directs the recipient to click the link to claim their "prize".

Residents should not open e-mails of this nature, and are encouraged to report them as spam. For more information on how to avoid phishing scams, please see the infographic from the RCMP below.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the Back-to-School Food and Supply Drive. With the community’s support, we were able to provide completed back-to-school lists for all families who indicated need, with supplies left over. Big thanks to Chapel Arm Sports and Recreation Committee for their summer students’ hard work making this event a success!
