Still celebrating after another enrollment this Sunday. We were also pleased to be joined by the newest Cadets from the CFOT College for Officer Training - the Rescued session (2028)

Today was Candidate Lekan Ogunlalu and his family's final Sunday with us before he officially enters training college.

Our service was focused on the family with Lekan's Farewell Covenant, prayers and gifts for the family, signing a personal praise banner, and songs of thanksgiving from our African choir.

The day ended with a pizza party and cake.

Lekan and his session-mates will be officially introduced to, and welcomed by, the territory at a special service September 20 at Yorkminster.

For several years now, The Salvation Army Etobicoke Temple Corps has partnered with the Toronto Youth Job Corps (TYJC) offering volunteering opportunities to Toronto’s youth in our community.

On Monday, June 15th, 2026. Our Community Services Coordinator Michelle Knol attended a special awards luncheon where she accepted on behalf of The Salvation Army Etobicoke Temple Corps, an award from the TYJC recognizing The Salvation Army's contributions as an ‘Outstanding Community Partner’.

We continue to celebrate with Lekan and his family after he was officially accepted into training college, to begin in September.

Lekan was presented his candidates pin during our service on Sunday.

Sunday was a celebration at Etobicoke Temple!

Eight new friends, one new adherent and 15 soldiers were enrolled during our service.

Today, we celebrate the women who nurture, guide and uplift families and communities every day.

At The Salvation Army in Canada, we honour mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, foster and adoptive parents and all women who step into a nurturing role to support others in times of need. We are grateful for the impact you make in our lives and communities.
