St. David's Anglican Church Castlegar St David's Anglican Church is a warm and welcoming church community that is part of the Churches of the Transfiguration and the Anglican Diocese of Kootenay.

Our mission statement: St David's is an accepting community of faithful Christians who worship and serve God and invite others to share our faith journey. This is a place where, as individuals and as a community:
-The Gospel of Jesus Christ matters deeply and profoundly to our daily life and work.
-We create an environment where people can ask questions and explore spiritually without feeling judged.
-We honour Christian Scripture and Tradition enough to faithfully question it and wrestle with its implications.
-We seek to respond faithfully to the way of Jesus with hearts and minds, in prayer and in action.

Harvest Thanksgiving reminds us that there is so much of life that comes to us as a gift: the earth beneath our feet, the food on our tables, the people we love, and above all, the grace of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Join us on Sunday October 11 at 10am to celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving.

This week we were most pleased to welcome Bishop Lynne to St David's. We enjoyed worship and fellowship together.

On September 30, our country marks the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day to honour Residential School Survivors, their families, and those who never came home. What began as a grassroots initiative has evolved into a nationally recognized movement, with individuals, organizations and communities across Canada participating in acts of remembrance, reflection, reconciliation and healing.
