To Be A Good Servant of Jesus Christ

If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. Command and teach these things. Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Join us for a FREE Community Clothing Swap at Kinnaird Church of God!

Come browse and take whatever clothing you or your family can use. You do not need to donate anything in order to participate. Everything at the swap is completely free, and we will not be accepting payment for any items.

We’ll have clothing for:

~ Women
~ Kids
~ Babies

Help us fill the racks! We’re inviting the community to donate clean, gently used clothing that can be passed along to someone else.

Please only donate items that are clean and in good, wearable condition.

~ Friday from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
~ Saturday morning 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Leftover Clothing:
Any clothing remaining after the swap will be included in our Un-Garage Sale the following Saturday, September 12th, where items will be available for free or by donation, with proceeds going to a local charity.

The Blessed Person

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

This isn’t your typical garage sale! Everything has been donated by members of our community and will be available FREE or by optional donation.

Come browse, take home something you can use, and give donated items a new life. There is no obligation to pay for anything. If you choose to make a donation, all proceeds will go to a local charity. 💛

You do not need to donate items in order to come and take something home. Everyone is welcome!

New Testament Prophecy

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
