Cancellation of Mass:

This is to inform all the Parishioners that the Mass for our seniors at Canso Seaside Manor earlier scheduled for tomorrow 7th May 2026 will not hold due to an unforeseen event. It is now rescheduled to Thursday 11th June 2026 at 1:30pm. I am sorry for the inconveniences this change might have caused you.

This is to inform all the Parishioners that the Lenten Reconciliation Service scheduled for today is cancelled and postponed to Wednesday the 25th March 2026 at 6:00pm due to the inclement weather.

Preparing Our Hearts for Lent

"Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart." — Joel 2:12

Beloved Parishioners,

This Wednesday, we begin a journey that changes us. As we approach Ash Wednesday, we prepare to enter the "holy desert" of Lent—not to dwell on our shadows, but to find the light that only God can provide.

The ashes we will receive are a beautiful paradox: they acknowledge our frailty, yet they are marked on our foreheads in the shape of the Cross - the ultimate sign of hope. As we prepare to begin these forty days, let us ask ourselves: What needs to be cleared away to make more room for God?

Mass Time Change for St. Joseph's Church Port Felix, NS

I know that many people may not have gotten access to the Church Bulletins in the past week. So, I would like to use this medium to inform all the Parishioners that the Mass time for St. Joseph's Church Port Felix has changed from 6:00pm to 4:00pm. This change will continue till next spring. And may be reviewed as when necessary.

We are so sorry for the inconveniences this change might have caused especially to those that weren't able to get the earlier change Notification.

Mass Cancellation Notice:
This is to inform the Parishioners that today's Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Queensport will not hold due to some unforeseen circumstances. The Weekend Mass will resume next week at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Queensport.

However, all the other scheduled Masses this weekend for St. Joseph's Church Port Felix, St. Agnes Church Little Dover and Star of the Sea Church Canso will still go on as scheduled.

We regret any inconveniences this change might have caused you especially those planning to attend the weekend Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Queensport.

NEW PALM SUNDAY MASS TIME

Due to the unforeseen issues that we had with the heating system this morning, the Palm Sunday Mass has been rescheduled for this evening at 6pm in the Chapel at the Glebe House.

This is to notify the Parishioners of Star of the Sea Church Canso that today's evening Ash Wednesday Mass is cancelled due to the weather conditions. We regret any inconvenience this change might have caused you.

The Ashes will be distributed on Sunday after the Mass for those that wishes to receive the Ashes.

Due to some unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, the Weekend Mass of tomorrow scheduled for 4:30pm at Queensport will NOT hold. Parishioners are encouraged to attend the other Masses already scheduled for Port Felix, Little Dover, and Canso.

AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING THIS SUNDAY AT CANSO

I regret to inform all the Parishioners of Star of the Sea Canso that due to the issues that we are having with Furnace, Oil and Water; we are not going to have this Sunday Mass in the Church building.

However, there will still be Mass at 11:00am this morning in the Chapel at the Glebe House for those that may still want to come for this Sunday's Mass.

We highly regret any inconvenience this sudden change might have caused you. We are sincerely very sorry for this.

Pls help to share this message as widely as you can so that people will be aware of the situation and the change.
