Friends of Skafse This page is dedicated to the loved ones resting in Skafse New Salem Cemetery.

We hope to share some stories, some pictures and keep friends and family updated with the changes happening in our little cemetery.

There will be a work party meeting at 5 pm on Oct 6, at the cemetery. We will be looking at placing new runners.

The spring Skafse meeting will be held at the Resurrection Church (5601 Enevold Drive) on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.

The fall meeting will be held on October 13th, 7 pm at the Resurrection Church (5601 Enevold Drive) in Camrose.

We have booked a meeting for June 30, 2022 at the Resurrection Church for 7pm. The address is 5601 Enevold Drive. This is just south of the firehall along Parkview Drive.
We will mainly be discussing the mowing of the cemetery.

The grass is lush and green. The Johnny Jumpups are popping with purple and violet colours and the lilac blossoms are casting their unique scent.

Two benches have been installed. One is in a sunny spot along the North tree line and the second is in a lovely shady space behind the cairn.

Come visit.
Sit and enjoy.
Take a minute.

Things are really greening up! The Johnny Jump-ups have popped out this last week so there are lovely little spots of purple scattered throughout the grounds.

Last week also saw the addition of two benches. One is centered along the north perimeter and the other is in a lovely shady spot behind the cairn. Perfect for enjoying a few memories!

Yesterday was a beautiful day to do a little grass cutting. The first spring cleanup can sometimes be a dirty and nasty job but the rain washed things down enough that there was very little dust.

If you come to visit and you notice that your "decorations" have been moved, please know that we do try to put them back where we think they belong. Sometimes it's a guess though.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

The care of our little cemetery takes a lot of time and effort. Over time, as families have moved away, our volunteer base has gotten smaller. In the last few years, the Board has paid for the caretaking over the summer months. Our hope is that this page will allow those who are not able to lend a hand in person, to instead lend a monetary hand to allow the caretaking of this beautiful place to continue.
