You are invited to say a final goodbye to a beloved man, George Wagner. He touched so many lives.

A lifelong adventurer and lover of the outdoors, George travelled extensively and spent his retirement volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the Adaptive Ski Program and his church.

On June 24, 2026, two devastating back‑to‑back earthquakes struck Venezuela — the strongest in more than a century. Hundreds have been killed with thousands injured. Many more are still believed to still be trapped under the rubble from the destruction.

Alongside Hope is responding through our membership in the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, part of the Humanitarian Coalition/ Coalition Humanitaire, to provide urgent food relief to families who were already facing severe economic hardship. Nearly 8 million people were in need of humanitarian support before the earthquakes — now, even more are at risk of hunger.

Our emergency appeal runs until July 13, 2026.

The Joy! Club Strawberry Tea was amazing! I had forgotten how wonderful tea served in a 'real' tea cup tasted. So much better than my old cracked mug at home. As usual this Joy! club event was a hit. Yummy home baked scones, lots of fresh strawberries and..my favourite...laughter and amazing conversations. PS - the Joy! club events are open to everyone.
