Join for Flight AI-182 @ 40: Remembering the 1985 Bombing in Film

June 23, 2025, marked the 40th anniversary of the Air India Flight 182 bombing. Although this event has been described as the largest mass murder in Canadian history, the tragedy and its aftermath remain little known and seldom remembered in our national consciousness.

You are invited to Flight 182 @ 40: Remembering the 1985 Bombing in Film. Featuring screenings of Calorie (2025) by Eisha Marjara and Flight 182 (2025) by Rippin Sindher, this event will bring together film, reflection, and conversation to honour the victims of the tragedy and explore its ongoing impact.

Event Program Schedule:
10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Film Screening (Flight 182 & Calorie)
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm: Lunch (provided)
1:30 pm - 2:15 pm: Q&A with Filmmakers
2:15 pm - 2:45 pm: Break
2:45 pm - 4:15 pm: Discussion

We truly need your support to help move our new Mandir closer to completion. Join us for a day of sewa and get your steps in by helping with:
🎨 Painting
🧼 Cleaning
🧹 Sweeping
Whether you can spare an hour, two, or the whole day, your time and energy will make a real difference. We’re focusing on interior work, and every helping hand counts as we work toward occupancy. Please bring your friends and family — let’s come together as a community, move with purpose, and build something beautiful. We need you. Everyone is welcome!
