"وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ ١٥٥

"We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure—." (Quran 2: 155)

إِنَّمَا یَعۡمُرُ مَسَـٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡیَوۡمِ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمۡ یَخۡشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۖ فَعَسَىٰۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَن یَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِینَ﴿ ١٨ ﴾

• ابوالاعلی مودودی:
اللہ کی مسجدوں کے آباد کار (مجاور و خادم) تو وہی لوگ ہوسکتے ہیں جو اللہ اور روز آخر کو مانیں اور نما ز قائم کریں، زکوٰۃ دیں اور اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہ ڈریں انہی سے یہ توقع ہے کہ سیدھی راہ چلیں گے

The mosques of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ˹truly˺ guided.
