Operation Christmas Child Canada Through Operation Christmas Child, Canadians have the privilege of filling empty shoeboxes with school supplies, toys, hygiene items, and a personal note.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and the message of God’s unconditional love. When culturally appropriate, an illustrated Bible storybook is offered to children in their local language (children do not have to accept the book in order to receive a shoebox gift). When possible, children can further explo

re the love of Jesus Christ through a voluntary Bible study program called "The Greatest Journey." Since 1993, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love. Did you miss reading the incredible story of how God is using Operation Christmas Child to spread the Gospel to an indigenous tribe in South America?

Deep in the jungle of northern Peru, children from the Chapra tribe gathered to hear the Gospel in their own language for the very first time. πŸ“–

After traveling by handmade canoe along the Amazon River, Operation Christmas Child teams delivered gift-filled shoeboxes and copies of The Greatest Gift translated into the Chapra languageβ€”reminding children and families that God sees them, knows them, and loves them.

More than 1,000 boys and girls across remote Chapra communities have now heard the hope of Jesus Christ through these outreach events. ❀️
