Day Of Formation

We all need opportunities to step away from the busyness of life and allow God to deepen our faith. If you've been searching for an opportunity to do just that, we invite you to join us for the Ascension Catholic Parish Day of Formation on Saturday, September 12th.

The day begins with optional Mass at 9 am, followed by coffee and fellowship, with the formation program running from 10 am to 3:30 pm.

The cost is $25 per person and includes morning refreshments, lunch, and all materials. Space is limited to 60 participants, so we encourage you to register early.

The Catholic Women’s League resumes its regular
meetings this fall.

The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9, at 7pm, in Rooms 4 & 5.

All CWL members are encouraged to attend, and women interested in learning more about the CWL are welcome to join us.

Oremus

For parents, prayer remains one of the most powerful ways we can continue to accompany our children, no matter how old they become. The Oremus Prayer Group invites parents to gather in prayer for their adult children and to entrust their lives, needs, and faith to the Lord.

The next gathering will be on Tuesday, September 8, at 7pm in Rooms 4 & 5.

Please bring your Bible. All parents of adult children are welcome.

Pray for and Give to Nepal

Development and Peace – Caritas Canada is calling for urgent support following catastrophic flooding in Nepal on Aug. 26. By Aug. 28, 584 people had died, more than 2,000 were missing, and thousands, including at least 17,000 children, had been affected.

Our Lady's Feast Day Celebration

Don't forget to join us THIS Sunday in honouring Our Blessed Mother! The East Indian Community will celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a special Mass this Sunday, September 6, at 6pm, followed by fellowship and some refreshments.

Parishioners are also invited to bring a non-perishable food item in support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

All are welcome to come and celebrate Our Lady’s feast day together.

Confession Sunday

Join us tomorrow Sunday, September 5 for Confession Sunday at Ascension Catholic Parish. Priests will be available to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 9 am, 11 am and 3 pm. We invite you to take this opportunity to receive God's mercy and grace through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
