Priestly Vocational Seminar

Are you discerning God's call in your life? Have you ever wondered whether God may be inviting you to the priesthood?

The Ascension Parish Vocation Ministry warmly invites young men ages 16 and above to our upcoming Priestly Vocational Seminar on:

Thursday, June 18
6 pm - 8 pm
Ascension Catholic Parish

Come and spend an evening of prayer, reflection, and fellowship as we explore the beauty of the priestly vocation. The seminar will include Eucharistic Adoration, a vocation testimony, opportunities for discussion and questions, and time to connect with others who are discerning God's call.

If you know someone who may be discerning a vocation, please invite them to attend on the vocational seminar.

Sacraments

Registration for Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation is now open online at ascensioncatholicparish.ca.

Sessions will begin in September, and schedules will be sent by email upon registration.

Matured 65+ Ministry

The Ascension Parish 65+ Adult Ministry invites you to a delightful morning of pancakes followed by a fun line dancing lesson.

This event will take place on Tuesday, June 23 from 9:45 to 11:30 am in the Parish Hall.

This session is by donation. Come enjoy good food, fellowship, and a joyful time together.

Father's Day Breakfast!

Join us for a Father’s Day Breakfast on Sunday, June 21, following the 8 am Mass. Breakfast is $10 per person and $5 for children under 12, with proceeds supporting the Knights of Columbus and their charitable works in our parish community.

All are welcome. Payment to be made at the entrance of the Parish Hall.

Congratulations!

Father John recently presented Certificates of Completion to participants of our first Confidence Plus Through Oral Communication course, led by Ken Richard, Distinguished Toastmaster.

We congratulate all who took part in this enriching experience, which was very well received and highly recommended by participants.

The course will be offered again this fall for those who were unable to attend so stay tuned for more details.

Pastoral Care Ministry

Pastoral Care is a deeply meaningful ministry that embodies Christ’s command to love one another through practical acts of mercy and spiritual accompaniment. Its purpose is to extend the Church’s presence beyond the parish walls, offering prayer, sacramental support, and compassionate presence to affirm the dignity of each person and share God’s love in times of need.

We are excited to share that we’re expanding our services to include support for those who are grieving and for those in need of palliative care.
