Ascension Catholic Parish

The Ascension Catholic Parish Vocation Hub is spearheading a new parish initiative called FOOTPRINTS—a sock drive supporting Calgarians experiencing homelessness and hardship.

We invite parishioners to help us leave a footprint of kindness by donating new socks for adults in all sizes. We invite every family, individual, and ministry to participate. Bring a pair, bring a package, or bring as many as you can.

You can drop off donations in our decorated Footprint Container in the Narthex this weekend through November 15. We encourage Parishioners to refrain from placing cash or gift cards directly into the container.

All are welcome.

Please save the date and watch for more details.

Monthly Retreat – Renewed and Refreshed!

Beginning this October, something new is coming to Ascension Catholic Parish! Living the Mystery of the Ascension is a new series of monthly Eucharistic retreats exploring the mystery of Christ’s Ascension and what it reveals about our Catholic faith and the way we live.

Following the liturgical year, each month will open a new doorway into the mystery of the Ascension, helping us discover how it illuminates the great mysteries of our faith, from the Incarnation and Baptism to the Cross, Resurrection, mission, and our hope of heaven.

Monthly retreats are held on the LAST Wednesday of the month after the 6 pm Mass. Come and discover what it means to live the mystery of the Ascension!

Next Monthly Retreat: October 28
Topic: He Is Still With Us

Missionary Discipleship Series

We are all called to be missionary disciples, but what does that look like in our everyday lives? Our Missionary Discipleship series explores practical ways to deepen our relationship with Jesus, share our faith, and accompany others on their faith journey. Through small group discussions and shared experiences, participants will discover how even simple everyday encounters can become opportunities to bring others closer to Christ.

If you missed the first session, it's not too late to join! Our next session is on Tuesday, October 20 at 7 pm in Rooms 4 and 5.

All are welcome!
