Mission Mexico has been collaborating since 2004 with the Marist Brothers of Mexico in providing high school education for young people from three indigenous cultures in the impoverished mountains of the State of Guerrero, Mexico . Just recently, Mission Mexico purchased 150 ergonomic chairs for the classrooms where the 220 students spend many hours each day. Each chair has two logos printed on it: one representing Mission Mexico, one representing the Marist Brothers. Lives are being transformed through this educational endeavor. I just happened to pass through her village, and I was able to drive her and her mother at night on a terrible dirt road to a larger town to get medical treatment. But if I hadn’t shown up, there was no way that the poor mother of four-year-old Amalia was going to be able to help her; Amalia had already spent several days with fever, rasping cough, difficulty breathing, pain throughout her body, weakness. Such is the reality of the indigenous peoples in the mountains of Guerrero, Mexico. Mission Mexico will continue to do what it can, but not all battles are won. 🙏🏽❤️🇲🇽🇨🇦

This family of three thanks Mission Mexico for providing them with a small stove and a propane tank and connections; now they don’t have to cook on an open fire on their dirt floor, a very dangerous practice in their humble home. 🙏🏽❤️🇲🇽🇨🇦

The dirt road below Buena Vista is being repaired, so I had to wait until the workers took a lunch break at 3 PM. But I sat in the shade of the house of Amaía, Adelina, and Galileo, so we were all happy. 😁👋🏽🇲🇽

In August, 81-year-old retired priest Father Antolín Casarrubias suffered a bad fall in the church of Atlixtac. In this short video, he thanks Mission Mexico for the rehabilitation services offered by physiotherapist Lindsey Victoriano, and he promises his prayers for all who are supporting him. 🇲🇽🙏🏽🇨🇦

A friend had given me a number of plastic balls to pump air into, so yesterday I gave away a number of these gifts to children in Metlatonoc … and then the family invited me to share breakfast with them. A truly wonderful day. 😀🙏🏽❤️🎉🇲🇽

I know that Harriet Paul was impacted by many of her experiences here in the mountains of Mexico at the beginning of March … especially when she met brothers Diego (10 years old) and Yair (12 years old). Neither can walk, so they drag themselves along as best they can to get from one location to another. Harriet bought seven pairs of sports pants, and yesterday I was able to deliver them to the boys (last photo). Thank you for your generous heart, Harriet. 😊❤️🙏🏽🇲🇽🇨🇦
