Communion is the high point of our gatherings.
When we take communion, we remember that Jesus lived, died, and rose again. We acknowledge who Jesus is, and we choose to give Him our "yes." When we take communion, it is like we are saying, "thank you" for the life he gives us, and at the same time saying "I will follow you," and giving Him our lives back.
At Epic Vineyard, everyone is welcome to take communion, whether it's your first time or your millionth.
Not sure how to participate? Here's what to know!
During communion, those who want to participate can walk to a station where someone will serve you bread and juice. Don't worry, there's a gluten free option!
When the servers hand you the elements, they will say, "Here is Christ's body, broken for you." "Here is Christ's blood, shed for you." You can respond by saying "thanks be to God," remain silent, or say something else that's on your heart.
Then, when you're ready, on your own time, you are free to eat the bread and juice.
Still unsure? Here's one more thing to know: you don't have to participate! If you don't feel like participating, you can simply stay seated, or you can go to the station and cross your arms over your chest, and then server will speak a blessing over you instead of giving you the bread and juice. Like a "choose your own adventure," there's no pressure to participate any more than you want to!
