Jr. and Sr. High Youth, come out to the mountains for an evening of food, games, fun and campfire.

To start the evening we will break into groups and go on an adventure around the Breezewood Bay property completing various challenges to win a prize! We will then have some time to eat and enjoy a fire at the large fire pit. Some wide games will be available and some time to hang out. This is a great event to bring your friends!

If you have students in grade 6 going into grade 7 next year this will be our event to welcome them into youth, so spread the word!

Reminder: This Sunday is Home Sunday 🏑 :)

We're looking forward to continuing our conversation about Generosity in our community groups throughout the city.

New to Epic? Join us at the Hub at 4:00pm.

Every Home Sunday, there will be a group at the Hub, going through the same teaching material as groups in homes. You're always welcome!

Did you know that Calum has played on over 300 records??

Calum, one of our lead pastors, inherited his drumming skills from his dad, Chris Slade (AC/DC, Tom Jones). Calum has recorded with diverse artists, but he's perhaps best known for his grooves on albums like "Come, Now Is the Time" (1997) and "Hungry" (1999) with Brian Doerksen and Vineyard Music.

This Sunday, we heard from Calum about encountering the Spirit in worship.

Though we often have sick grooves during our gatherings, we know that's not the goal. The goal is surrendering our hearts to Jesus, choosing to worship him, and inviting him to transform us to become more loving, humble, and generous like Him.

When was a time that God transformed something about you, during a time of worship?

Watch Joyce explain what the Bible really teaches about giving, generosity, and our relationship with money.

From Old Testament tithes and offerings to Jesus' call for radical generosity, this message explores why giving is about more than finances, it's about where our heart truly lies. Learn from powerful biblical examples like the Rich Young Ruler and the Widow's Offering, and discover how generosity can become a practical expression of faith, trust, and discipleship.

What's the goal when we worship? Intimate encounter and transformation, not mere experience.

"In the Vineyard, congregational singing has been integral to attaining this kind of intimacy. Those who are filled with the Spirit, sing. Those who have the Word of Christ dwelling in them richly, sing. More than stage presentation and band arrangements, we value the voices of the people. Though the song is key, it cannot achieve the entirety of the goal we desire. Visual art, the motion of dance, instrumentation, liturgy, the use of light, colour, and other gestures are necessary for giving full expression to our worship." - Why Vineyard

We sing together in worship every Sunday afternoon, 4pm at the Hub. But are you hungry for more? Or for a more creative space to explore how to use your artistic gifts to curate a space for worship?

The second Wednesday of each month, 7pm @ the Hub, we hold a worship circle.

What is a worship circle? Another way to say it might be: "a worship music and arts jam session," where the atmosphere is casual, everyone has a voice, there's time to play and explore, and also space to encounter God's loving presence.

Everyone is welcome.

Generous people live longer, laugh more, are less anxious, and have better relationships (among other things!).

How do we grow in generosity? Practice!

This Sunday, we get to practice together. Bring your walking shoes and a couple non-perishable food items for local food pantries.

See you Sunday at 4pm!

When Eunice preached on April 19, she started by showing a slide with various statements. Which of them best describes where you're at right now?

"I belong in church."

"I don't feel like I truly belong in any church community."

"I have used my spiritual gifts mainly for my personal walk with Jesus."

"My spiritual gifts aren't really needed for the greater Church to function."

"My spiritual gifts are needed for the health of the Church."

Sometimes there's a gap between what we believe and how we live.

In the Vineyard, we believe everyone has a part to play. If you are missing, so are your gifts. Have you ever considered the Church needs you?

β€œThere are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” - 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
