Did you know at MTC Nights kids join us for worship?

To start each service we have the kids join us to worship Jesus before they head to their programs. In Proverbs 22:6 it states “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” One way we can show our kids the love of Jesus is to show them how we worship. To sing songs of what he’s done and what he promised to do. Plus, seeing them sing and dance with joy helps us worship the way that David did.

Many great minds have spoken about this…
“Do not omit sacred things from your children’s sight. Let them see you pray, let them hear you praise, let them watch you bow before the Almighty. A child’s faith is born long before it is spoken—it is caught from the sight of a worshipping parent.”
— Charles Spurgeon

“Your children will form their initial concept of God’s glory not from abstract theology, but from the awe they witness on your face when you worship.”
— John Piper

“Small children may not understand everything that is going on, but they are learning to be reverent to God, they are watching Mommy and Daddy worship and seeing how important God is to them.”
— Mary Shannon

Hope you (and your kids) join us THIS SUNDAY for fall kick off at 5pm.

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[a] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”
Matt 27: 50-54

Hope to see you at Nights tonight as we worship the king!
