The Long Live the King Concert for tonight at New Victory Church has been cancelled. Guiller has come down with a bad viral infection and is not able to perform at all. We will reschedule to have Long Live the King come back this September 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience. And will keep you posted for the rescheduled date in the Fall. SEEKING DRUMMER FOR WORSHIP TEAM

Hello, Facebook friends!

We are on the lookout for an intermediate-level drummer in the Calgary or surrounding areas, to join our Worship Team as a volunteer. We've typically always had one or two drummers, but since our last member moved abroad for university, we've been without percussion for several months.

Ideal candidates might be part of a larger church with many drummers, where opportunities to play are limited, and their church would be supportive of them coming to help or even join our Church family. Alternatively, we’re also open to welcoming someone new to Calgary who is searching for a local church to connect with and contribute to.

The only requirements are a strong faith in Jesus and His Word, a love for His Church (the community), and a heart for worship that focuses on glorifying God by leading others in song with humility, rather than seeking the spotlight.

We are very flexible regarding Sundays off, and we deeply appreciate and encourage all members for their contributions. We practice early Sunday mornings before the service, so there’s no commitment to midweek rehearsals. Our team operates at an intermediate skill level, but we’re always growing together, so there’s no expectation for professional-level performance.

As Christians we believe that Jesus truly is the reason for the season of Christmas. However, had the Holy Spirit not overshadowed Mary, there would not have been a reason to celebrate, as Jesus would not have been born in the flesh in our midst.
