On Sunday, we continued learning about the story of Creation and God's wish for us to take care of all creation. We made a promise tree to show all the ways that we will take care of God's creation. How do you take care of everything that God made? Let us know in the comments.

Today we welcomed back our two KidSpace classes on Zoom. While we cannot wait to be in person again, we remain committed to bringing our families our best programming online. This month we are exploring Creation with a brand new curriculum by the Go Project. What are you grateful for? Today we finished our journey to Pentecost and have made beautiful decorations to celebrate the birth of the church. Families are invited to celebrate today or join us in a Zoom Pentecost Celebration next week at 1 pm. Registration and more information can be found on the Hillhurst website under events.

As we start preparing for Pentecost, we explored the first symbol of Pentecost, wind. Together we made kits to fly in the wind, this is a glimpse of the fun we had flying our kites once they were made.

This morning we read the Creation story from Genesis 1-2 and drew pictures for each day as we listened. We then connected the story to Earth Day and how we plan on taking care of God's work. We also helped put together our closing prayer by adding a line each.

As we continue our journey through the season of Easter, today we made bookmarks to share with our wider community. We shared messages of you are loved, love the Earth and I care for you. We hope you continue to spread the love that Jesus taught us in the world also.

Happy Palm Sunday! Today we celebrated Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. We are all set for Holy Week with our handprint palms and are looking forward to reach the end of our Lent journey as we prepare to celebrate Easter next Sunday.

On this sunny Sunday morning, we heard the story about Jesus in the temple at the age of twelve. We were all shocked to learn that it took three days for Mary and Joseph to find him! Our activity was centered around getting to know one another and sharing our hearts. We used conversation starters to ask each other questions. We put all our questions in a jar and will be using them throughout the week to learn more about the people in our lives.
