Howdy all! As many of y'all know it's Stampede Sunday tomorrow and what a treat we have in store for you all tomorrow.
There will be a wonderful sermon preached by Father Jim, a cowboy prayer read by Win, and our Director of Music Ministry Tim has a huge amount of music for you all- ranging from a reflective improvisation on Happy trails in various styles to a collection of improvised themes including The Good, the bad and the Ugly, The Magnificent Seven, Don't fence me in, Four strong winds, The William Tell Overture and probably some Woodford too! Tim will also be singing Copland's At the River and some olden classics such as Tell me the old, old story, In the garden and The old Rugged cross. There will be some old time hymns for everyone to join in - such as Great is thy faithfulness, What a friend we have in Jesus, How great thou art and To God be the Glory.
Here's a 'sneak a peak' look at some of the music. Some of the lively improvised jazzy themes for the organ and a short section of the reflective Happy trails improvisation.
