Larry has been involved in youth ministry for over 40 years, and is presently the Executive Director of United Youth Outreach located in Calgary, Alberta. United is a covering and facilitator for various youth ministries such as Street Invaders, Equipping, Legacy One, etc.

He was born in Ontario, and after graduating from college he started ministry in New Brunswick (youth worker – 9 years), then Saskatchewan (Youth Pastor/Senior Pastor – 10 years), Calgary (Associate Pastor – 5 years) and finally he moved into his position as Executive Director of United for the past 21 years.

His heart is to see people – especially students - won to Christ, developed into powerful disciples and sent out as influencers for the Kingdom of Light. He believes that one of the best ways we can see this happen is to influence those who influence students - youth leaders.

Larry is married to Sandra and they have 4 grown children: Adam, Greg, Luke, Daniel and 1 furboy; Baxter The Wonderdog. He is a man of faith, as he continues to believe that one day the Toronto Maple Leafs will win the Stanley Cup.

Austin Toews is a pastor, leader, teacher and coach that loves to see families thriving. From Abbotsford, BC, he has been married to Becca since 2012 and parent two of the cuddliest cats in the world, Walt & Molly. In his margin, he likes to watch Disney+, thrift for Disneyland records and go for long walks.

Currently, Austin is the Children, Pr***en & Family Ministries Director for the British Columbia and Yukon District Network of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (yes. it's a mouthful). My desire is to see thriving family ministry champions in every community in our district network (and beyond). I am dedicated to help overwhelmed family ministry champions in the BCYD that are desiring to grow in their personal lives and Kingdom building initiatives to become more like Jesus and see their Kingdom impact multiplied."

Sid is the Executive Director of the Youth Worker Community which has shaped ministry to adolescents in Canada through various research project partnerships (Renegotiating Faith and Hemorrhaging Faith), youth worker training conferences (equipping thousands of youth workers each year), and now consulting and coaching. He continues to speak regularly to teenagers and is passionate about helping the next generation see and experience the truth of Jesus Christ.

Heather has been pastoring children, youth and families for over 20 years in Canada and the United States. She loves to equip others to serve the kingdom to their fullest potential. Heather’s team-approach to ministry and experience leading multi-site teams to work together and communicate effectively will be an asset as she and the rest of the team work to expand Faith Beyond Belief’s borders into the rest of Canada.

Heather is actively involved in her church and in the Calgary family ministry network. She loves music, animals, creating jewelry and spending time with her husband, Iain. She is blessed to be a mom of 2 and grandma of 5.

Ron Powell is the Dean of Online Education at Vanguard College in Edmonton, Alberta. He holds a doctorate in Church Ministries from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. Ron has been the Youth Director and professor at Master’s College and Seminary and Vanguard College. Children's Ministry Equipping Essentials Class - Outbound - Making Disciples who will Make Disciples.

Crystal Henderson has been a pastor at Eaglemont Christian Church for eleven years, directing the Children and Family department. During the summer she leads and organizes Mega Sports and Arts camps which have been running for the past ten years in the community of Beaumont. She also has been a longtime partner in the Blackgold School District, providing support to students who are potentially at risk. Crystal is also privileged to be a member of the Beaumont Early Childhood Coalition which partners with the communities’ educational institutions to help children thrive socially, emotionally and spiritually. In addition, to her community involvement Crystal loves spending time with military husband Reagan and her spicy three-year-old daughter, Scarlett and a new baby girl.

Youth Ministry Equipping Essentials Online Class - Youth Culture 101 (Ages 13-19)

Jen Hubbard has been working with teens since she was a teen! From junior highs to young adults, Jen has worked in drop-in centres, volunteered in schools, spoken at camps, and taken teens on crazy trips. With experience as a youth pastor and as a Youth for Christ/Youth Unlimited missionary, Jen loves teens. For the past twenty years, Jen has served with Youth Unlimited, both in direct youth work and as a trainer of new staff and volunteers. These days, Jen works with YU’s Lifeteams program, a one-year certificate program that trains young adults to be youth missionaries. Based in Cloverdale, BC, Jen is wife to Andrew and mom to three rowdy boys. They love the outside and you can often find them cycling, skiing, at the beach or playing soccer!

Children's Ministry Equipping Essential Class: Developing the Vision and Mission

Nicki's passion and energy are contagious as she brings over 20 years of kids ministry experience to the table. She believes that kids in ministry become adults in ministry and believes her destiny lies in helping kids young and old understand and walk in the revelation of who they are in Christ. She is the author of Superhero In Me, a workshop based program designed for public school classrooms that empowers kids to change their world using kindness. She is a curriculum writer and program developer with a heart to teach kids how to think and live their lives with Kingdom identity and Holy Spirit anointing.

She is currently the Youth and Family Engagement Lead with Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services in Brantford, Ontario. She is a regular contributing writer for www.kidology.org and Kidzmatter magazine She has two adult children and lives with her husband in Brantford.

While he doesn’t think of myself as an expert, He has learned a lot about working with students over the past 7-10 years —and he can’t wait to share those lessons with you and see how we can expand our reach to the next generation in 2021. Hunter is an Associate Pastor at First Assembly Church in Calgary, Alberta.
